To create this set of cards I used the 'Small Stencil - Heart Set' by Darkroom Door.

Voor deze set kaarten werkte ik met de 'Small Stencil - Heart Set' van Darkroom Door.

I used the mask to draw hearts on mixed media paper. I added double sided tape to the upper side. To position and adhere the hearts on the kraft cards I used the matching stencil.

Ik gebruikte het masker om harten te tekenen op mixed media papier. De harten aan de bovenkant bekleed met dubbelzijdige tape. Om ze op de kaart te positioneren en te kleven gebruikte ik de bijpassende stencil.

Here I adhered a bunch of colorful mini pompons to the heart. 

Hier plakte ik een heleboel kleurige mini pompons op het hart.

On this card I worked with sculptured flowers. As you can see I have a whole collection of these flowers :)

Hier werkte ik met bloemen. Zoals je kan zien heb ik een hele collectie van deze bloemetjes :)

I filled the small gaps in between the flowers with small pieces of crumpled tissue paper.

De openingen tussen de bloemetjes opgevuld met kleine stukjes verfrommeld tissue papier.

I have a lot of stamps, even favorite ones, that I forgot about for quite a while. 

I have the intention to dust off those stamps in 2023.

Ik heb een heleboel stempels, waaronder ook een aantal favorieten, die ik al een tijdje uit het oog verloren ben. Ik nam me voor om in 2023 deze stempels eens van onder het stof te halen.

The first stamp set I took out is this 'Simple Flowers' set by Altenew.

Using the leaves from the set and various colors of Distress Oxide Ink I stamped a pattern on a white tag.

Begonnen met deze 'Simple Flowers' set van Altenew. 

Met de blaadjes uit de set en verschillende kleuren Distress Oxide Inkt een patroon gestempeld op een wit label.

I stamped one of the flowers from the set on a scrap of white paper with Archival Ink 'Jet Black'. After stamping a stem and the text I glued the flower to the tag. I adhered 2 parts of a die cut grid to both sides of the tag and drew a black line at the bottom. 

Eén van de bloemen uit de set afgedrukt op een restje wit papier met Archival Inkt 'Jet Black'. Een steel en de tekst gestempeld, de bloem opgeplakt en onderaan nog een zwart lijntje getekend. Op de zijkanten 2 stukjes van een wit raster bevestigd.

Today I'm sharing a set of quick and easy Sympathy Cards.

Hier een set simpele sterkte kaartjes. 

I inked up the leaves using Distress Oxide Inks.

De blaadjes werden gestempeld met Distress Oxide Inkt.

I overstamped the prints off centre with a matching stamp from the Altenew 'Leaf Canopy' stamp set using black Archival Ink.

De afdrukken iets naast de lijnen overstempeld met een bijpassende stempel uit de Altenew 'Leaf Canopy' stempelset en zwarte Archival inkt.

Birthday Cards #1

 

I was in the urgent need of 'fresh' birthday cards so I made a whole bunch of birthday cards in one take.

Ik had niet zoveel verjaardagskaarten meer in voorraad dus ik maakte er ineens maar een hele reeks.

I started by making gel prints. I was inspired by this YouTube video by Denise Lush.

Ik ben begonnen met het maken van gel prints. Ik liet me inspireren door deze YouTube video van Denise Lush.

On the gel prints I added lots of layers using stencils and paint.

 Op de gel prints veel laagjes aangebracht, vooral met stencils en verf.

Most of the birthday wishes I used are by Darkroom Door.

De meeste verjaardagswensen zijn van Darkroom Door.

The black stamping on the backgrounds was done with Rubber Dance stamps.

Het zwarte stempelwerk op de achtergronden deed ik met stempels van Rubber Dance.

The text stamp I used on this card is by Altenew.

De tekst stempel die ik op deze kaart gebruikte is van Altenew.

I was able to cut 12 backgrounds out of the 6 gel prints.

Uit de 6 gel prints kon ik 12 achtergronden snijden.

Cold Days

 

I made this winter card using an Altenew stamp set.

Een winters kaartje gemaakt met een stempelset van Altenew.

To create the background I first applied gesso through the Darkroom Door Small Stencil - Dots. After drying I sprayed Dina Wakley Gloss Spray 'Carnation' on top. The gesso works as a resist.

Voor de achtergrond eerst stippen aangebracht met gesso, daarvoor de Small Stencil - Dots van Darkroom Door gebruikt. Daarna de achtergrond gekleurd met Dina Wakley Gloss Spray 'Carnation'. De gesso werkt als een resist.

To stamp the tree and the fox I  used Archival Ink. I attached a torn piece of white paper to the bottom of the card. The text is from the Altenew set as well.

De boom en de vos gestempeld met Archival inkten. Onderaan een strookje gescheurd wit papier opgeplakt waar ik een tekst op stempelde.

Thinking of You

I inked up the Triangles Background Stamp by Darkroom Door using several colors of Distress Ink. After spraying water on top of the ink I made a print on watercolor paper. I finished the card off with some black stamping.

De Triangles stempel van Darkroom Door beïnkt met verschillende kleuren Distress Inkt. Daar water over verneveld en gestempeld op aquarelpapier. 

De kaart afgewerkt met zwart stempelwerk.

Remakes

I made a set of Sympathy Cards recently. I like to send a handmade card to friends or family who are having a rough time.

 I looked for inspiration on my own blog. I had in mind to do a remake of some of my favorite cards and change the quote or text.

Ik maakte een reeks 'sterkte' kaartjes. Kaartjes om te condoleren maar ook gewoon om iemand te steunen in moeilijke tijden.

De inspiratie haalde ik op mijn eigen blog. Ik zocht een aantal mooie kaarten uit, maakte deze opnieuw en stempelde er een 'sterkt' tekst op deze keer.

As on THESE cards I did the layered stamping with stamps from an Altenew stamp set.

Net zoals bij DEZE kaarten laagjes gestempeld met stempels uit een Altenew set.

On the painted background I stamped with a flower stamp by Different Colors.

Op deze geverfde achtergrond stempelde ik met een bloemenstempel van Different Colors.

It's Your Birthday

Because masculine cards are not my most favorite cards to make I created 2 similar ones in one take :)

Ik heb wel wat jongens- en mannenkaarten te versturen in januari. Omdat dit niet mijn meest favoriete kaarten zijn om te maken maakte ik er ineens maar 2 tegelijk :)

I've cut the colorful backgrounds out of an A4 gel print.

De kleurige achtergronden sneed ik uit een A4 gel print.

I used 3D tape to attach the white circle. 

For a playful effect I put some black cord underneath the circle.

De witte cirkel met wens verhoogd opgeplakt. Voor een speels effect onder de cirkel een stukje koord vastgemaakt.

Nature Snippets #1

I have two clean and simple cards to share today.

Twee eenvoudige kaartjes gemaakt vandaag.

To create the cards I used my new Nature Snippets layering stamp set.

Ik gebruikte hiervoor één set uit mijn nieuwe Nature Snippets stempelset.

I stamped a few layers on top of each other using matching stamps from one set. 

Een aantal laagjes over mekaar gestempeld met verschillende bij mekaar passende stempels.
