I have two quick and easy Christmas cards to share today.

Twee eenvoudige kerstkaartjes vandaag.

For the background I applied two colors of Distress Ink on a craft sheet, sprayed water on top and put a watercolor panel into that puddle. After drying I applied light blue paint through the Tim Holtz Layering Stencil 'Pinecones'.

I bought the deer ready made and pimped each one with a red pompon and a scarf made from gold thread.

Voor deze achtergrond twee kleuren Distress inkt op een craftsheet gesmeerd, daar water over verneveld en een stuk aquarelpapier in die plas gelegd. Na droging blauwe acrylverf aangebracht doorheen de Tim Holtz Layering Stencil 'Pinecones'. De herten kocht ik kant en klaar bij Hema, toen glitter nog niet verboden was :) Elk hert gepimpt met een rode pompon en een sjaaltje van gouddraad.

For this card I started with a white background and worked with the same blue paint an a Studio Light mask 'Triangle Gungle'. The triangles do look like Christmas trees don't they :)

Hier begonnen met een witte achtergrond en gewerkt met dezelfde blauwe verf en de Studio Light Mask 'Triangle Grunge'. De driehoekjes kunnen doorgaan voor kerstboompjes toch :)

I have a lot of stamps, even favorite ones, that I forgot about for quite a while. 

I have the intention to dust off those stamps in 2023.

Ik heb een heleboel stempels, waaronder ook een aantal favorieten, die ik al een tijdje uit het oog verloren ben. Ik nam me voor om in 2023 deze stempels eens van onder het stof te halen.

The first stamp set I took out is this 'Simple Flowers' set by Altenew.

Using the leaves from the set and various colors of Distress Oxide Ink I stamped a pattern on a white tag.

Begonnen met deze 'Simple Flowers' set van Altenew. 

Met de blaadjes uit de set en verschillende kleuren Distress Oxide Inkt een patroon gestempeld op een wit label.

I stamped one of the flowers from the set on a scrap of white paper with Archival Ink 'Jet Black'. After stamping a stem and the text I glued the flower to the tag. I adhered 2 parts of a die cut grid to both sides of the tag and drew a black line at the bottom. 

Eén van de bloemen uit de set afgedrukt op een restje wit papier met Archival Inkt 'Jet Black'. Een steel en de tekst gestempeld, de bloem opgeplakt en onderaan nog een zwart lijntje getekend. Op de zijkanten 2 stukjes van een wit raster bevestigd.

I made two cards using the bobbly 'JoFY tree' I worked with before. This time I had the intention to keep the cards as clean and simple as possible

Twee kaartjes gemaakt met de 'JoFY boom' waar ik al eerder kaarten mee maakte. Deze keer geprobeerd om de kaarten zo simpel mogelijk te houden.

For the background I used paper from a paper pad by Studio Light.

Voor de achtergrond papier gebruikt uit een papierblokje van Studio Light.

On the trees I again applied the paper piecing technique. For this card I worked with patterned paper in various green colors.

Op de bomen opnieuw de paper piecing techniek toegepast. Hier verschillende soorten groen gedessineerd papier gebruikt.

The wishes were stamped with stamps from the 'Yuletide Greetings' stamp set by Darkroom Door.

Voor de wensen stempels gebruikt uit de 'Yuletide Greetings' stempel set van Darkroom Door.

Recently I took part in the Willa Workshop 'Mixed Media Tags', an online course by Willa Wanders.

Onlangs nam ik deel aan de Willa Workshop 'Mixed Media Tags', een online cursus van Willa Wanders.

It all started with the making of a collage master sheet.

Alles begon met het maken van een XL collage.

This masterboard measures 31 cm x 41 cm. 

Dit 'masterboard' meet 31 op 41 cm.

After cutting apart the sheet I ended up with 10 panels which I turned into tags.

Ik verknipte de collage in 10 stukken en maakte van elk paneeltje een label.

The finished masterboard looks very busy but when you look at each tag separately it's not that bad :)

Het afgewerkte 'masterboard' ziet er wel héél druk uit, maar als je elk label afzonderlijk bekijkt valt het beter mee vind ik :)

I decorated each tag with a flower/leave...

I learned how to draw these 'Wonky Bits' before, in another Willa Workshop.

Op elk label plakte ik een bloem/blad...

Deze 'Wonky Bits' zoals Wendy ze noemt leerde ik al eerder tekenen in een andere Willa Workshop.

As you can see here I added my favorite VW Camper Van to the collage :)

Zoals je hier kan zien verwerkte ik mijn favoriete VW Camper Van in de collage :)

In my opinion the black and white drawings look great on the colorful background.

Ik vind dat de zwart/wit tekeningen goed staan op de kleurrijke achtergronden.

Because of the rather busy backgrounds I didn't add further decorations, except for the stamped wishes.

De drukke achtergronden vragen niet om veel extra versiering, ik plakte enkel nog een wens op elk label.

The edges of each tag were sponged using Archival Ink 'Jet Black'.

De randen van elk label gesponsd met Archival Inkt 'Jet Black'.

 I used my handmade colored ribbon as tag toppers.

Aan elk label nog lintjes geknoopt die ik zelf kleurde.

Each year I'm using the beautiful Tim Holtz Christmas paper on some of my Christmas cards. This year is no exception.

Ik grijp elk jaar terug naar het mooie kerstpapier van Tim Holtz voor een aantal van mijn kerstkaarten. Dit jaar is het niet anders.

To create this card I used a Studiolight die set.

The tree is an inlay. The garlands and star were cut using dies from the same die set.

Met een Studiolight die set aan de slag gegaan voor deze kaart.

De geruite boom is een 'inlay'. De ster en de slingers maakte ik met stansen uit dezelfde die set.

I mixed and matched 2 brands of stamps on this mainly white Sympathy Card.

To create the frame I used 2 different rectangle dies. 

Twee stempelmerken gecombineerd op dit hoofdzakelijk witte sterkte kaartje.

Voor het kader 2 verschillende rechthoekige stansen gebruikt.

For the background of this square card I used a leftover gel print from this project.

Voor de achtergrond van deze vierkante kaart een restje gebruikt van dit project.

I stamped the sheep with Versamark ink and heat embossed the print with white embossing powder. I added shadow to the sheep with a red PITT marker and a black Stabilo.

De schapen werden gestempeld met Versamark inkt en bewerkt met wit embossingpoeder. Schaduw aangebracht met een rode PITT marker en een zwart Stabilo potlood.
