Checkerboard Stencil #1

Ik wil graag uittesten wat er allemaal mogelijk is met één simpele stencil, vandaar dit nieuwe rubriekje.

 I would like to try out what's possible with one single stencil.

Ik koos deze 'My Favorite Things' stencil.

For this series I've chosen this 'My Favorit Things' stencil.

Voor de kaart van vandaag legde ik de stencil op wit papier en kleurde de hokjes met Distress Markers. Simpeler kan niet :)

To create today's card I've put the stencil on top of white paper and colored the squares through the stencil with Distress Markers. Easy peasy :)

Alles omlijnd met slordige lijntjes. De vogel kleurde ik met Distress Markers en een waterpenseel.

I added accents with a black fineliner. I colored the bird with Distress Markers and a water brush.

De kaart op donkerblauw papier gemat en de wens uit hetzelfde papier gestanst.

I glued the card on dark blue paper and die cut the wish out of the same paper.

Darkroom Door Brushed Daisies #2

Een bloem uit de Brushed Daisies stempelset van Darkroom Door gebruikt voor deze kaartjes.

For these cards I used another flower from the Brushed Daisies stamp set by Darkroom Door.

De bloemenstempel beïnkt met Distress Markers Spun Sugar, Victorian Velvet, Ripe Persimmon en Twisted Citron. Daar water over verneveld en gestempeld.

I inked up the flower stamp with Distress Markers Spun Sugar, Victorian Velvet, Ripe Persimmon and Twisted Citron. Sprayed some water on top before stamping.

Cirkels geponst uit boekpaper, deze een laag gesso gegeven en er daarna tekst op gestempeld.

I punched circles out of gesso-ed vintage book paper, attached it to the card and stamped on top.

De oranje stippen zijn gestempeld met Distress Markers. De kleine witte stippen maakte ik met verf en een needle tip applicator.

I stamped the orange dots with Distress Markers using the same watercolor technique. I created white dots with paint and a needle tip applicator.

Een stuk papier geverfd met Distress Inkt 'Mowed Lawn' en daar cirkels uit geponst.

Accenten aangebracht met een witte en zwarte stift.

I applied Distress Ink 'Mowed Lawn' to a piece of paper and punched circles out of it. Added details with a  black and white fineliner.

Nog eens een kaart gemaakt voor mijn Cards and Tins reeks.

I made another card for my Cards and Tins series.

Dit blikje gekozen als inspiratiebron.

I picked this tin out of my collection today.

Voor de achtergrond verf gebruikt, gestempeld met StazOn Inkt 'Mustard'.

De rozen zijn gestempeld met Distress Markers. Schaduw aangebracht met dezelfde markers. De randen bewerkt met Distress Inkt 'Gathered Twigs'.

For the background I used paint. Did the stamping on the background with StazOn Ink 'Mustard'.

I inked up the rose stamp with Distress Markers. Added shadow with markers as well. Distressed the edges with Distress Ink 'Gathered Twigs'.

Tussen de achtergrond en de rozen een stukje wit linnen geplakt.

In between background and roses I sandwiched a piece of white linen.

Happy Birthday

Een paar kaartjes gemaakt geïnspireerd op een techniek uit het boekje 'KIJK' van Hermine Koster.

Hermine maakte gesso cirkels met een rond sponsje. Dat heb ik niet, ik heb gewoon een sjabloon met cirkels gebruikt. En ik heb me ook helemaal laten gaan wat het aantal cirkels betreft :)

Made some cards inspired by a technique from Hermine Koster's book 'KIJK'.

I used a template to do the circles, instead of a Hein Design sponge. Made a lot more dots as on the sample in the book too :)

De ondergrond gekleurd met Distress Inkt.

Coloured the background with Distress Ink.

Tulpen en tekst gestempeld. Daarna de tulpen ingekleurd met Distress Inkt en een waterpenseel. De cirkels bijgekleurd en omlijnd met Distress Markers.

Stamped the tulips and the text with black ink. Coloured the tulips with Distress Ink and a water brush. Coloured and outlined the dots with Distress Markers.

Voor dit kaartje de bloemen afgedrukt met Versamark en geëmbossed met WOW embossingpoeder 'Opaque Bright White'. Daarna de achtergrond gekleurd met Distress Markers. Water verneveld om de kleuren in elkaar te laten overlopen.

On this card I heat embossed the flowers with WOW embossing powder 'Opaque Bright White'. Colored the background with Distress Markers and sprayed some water on top for a watercolor look.

Ik ben grote fan van de kleine JOFY kerststempeltjes van PaperArtsy. Ik kocht er een paar maar had ze tot nu nog niet gebruikt. Ik vind het immers niet makkelijk om ze te combineren op een kaart. Hier gekozen voor een CAS versie, alleen het woord 'Christmas' toegevoegd. Gemaakt met een stans van Memory Box.

I'm a huge fan of the tiny JOFY Xmas stamps by PaperArtsy. I bought a few of them at the beginning of the season but I didn't use them until now because I find it quite difficult to combine them.

Here I kept the card simple, just added a die cut by Memory Box.

De stempelafdruk na het embossen ingekleurd met Distress Markers.

Het woord 'Christmas' gekleurd met Distress Stain 'Mowed Lawn' en met spuitlijm opgeplakt.

After heat embossing the print I colored it with my Distress Markers.

Colored the word 'Christmas' with Distress Stain 'Mowed Lawn' and attached it to the card with spray glue.

Weer een gewone stempel ingezet voor dit kerstkaartje.

Made another Christmas card with a non Christmas stamp.

Deze bloemenstempel 'ondersteboven' gebruikt.

Gestempeld met Distress Markers en de 'bolletjes' nog wat bijgekleurd met een waterpenseel.

Used the flower stamp upside down.

Did the stamping with Distress Markers and added some extra color with a water brush.
