Mix & Match

 

For today's cards I used ready made card panels by Cats on Appletrees.

I mixed and matched stamps by various brands to create both cards. 

The vases were stamped on scraps of kraft paper and cut out. The rest of the stamping was done straight onto the cards.

Voor de kaartjes van vandaag werkte ik op kant en klare, tweekleurige kaartjes van Cats on Appletrees. Ik combineerde stempels van verschillende merken.

De vaasjes werden gestempeld op restjes kraft papier en uitgeknipt. Voor de rest stempelde ik alles rechtstreeks op de kaartjes.

I again made a set of cards using Tim Holtz paper.

Opnieuw een reeks kaarten gemaakt met het papier van Tim Holtz.

On each card I attached a tag using 3D tape.

Op elke kaart een label verhoogd opgeplakt.

On the card as well as on the tag I glued a strip of patterned paper and a strip of washi tape.

Zowel op de kaart als op het label een strook gedessineerd papier gekleefd samen met een strookje washi tape.

I die cut the tree out of patterned paper. For the pink trees I used gel prints.

Deze boom uit gedessineerd papier gestanst. Voor de roze boompjes gebruikte ik gel prints.

The wish on this card was done with a Cats on Appletrees stamp.

Voor de wens hier een Cats on Appletrees stempeltje gebruikt.

On the black paper I heat embossed the wish using white embossing powder.

Op het donkere papier de wensen met wit embossing poeder bewerkt.

To create these quick and easy Mother's Day cards I masked of a part of the card and colored the remaining part with Distress Oxide Ink.

I challenged myself to make a series of cards using mainly small stamps.

Today I'm sharing the first cards of this series.

Ik heb mezelf uitgedaagd om een aantal kaarten te maken met hoofdzakelijk mini stempels.

Vandaag toon ik de eerste 2 kaarten van deze reeks. 

I stamped flower bouquets using these 2 small stamps by Cats on Appletrees.

Boeketjes gestempeld met deze 2 kleine stempels van Cats on Appletrees.

The flowers on this card were stamped with Distress Oxide 'Kitsch Flamingo'. 

I masked off a part of the card and colored the remaining part with Distress Oxide Ink 'Worn Lipstick' and a blending tool.

De bloemetjes gestempeld met Distress Oxide Inkt 'Kitsch Flamingo'. Een stuk van de kaart afgeplakt met tape en het overige deel gekleurd met Distress Oxide Inkt 'Worn Lipstick' en een blending tool.

I drew flower stems with a black fineliner and finished the bouquets off with a bow made of bakers twine.

Met een dun pennetje de stelen getekend en de boeketten afgewerkt met een strik gemaakt van bakers twine.

The 4 cards of today were again made with gel prints from my stash.

Opnieuw een reeks gel prints uitgezocht en er 4 kaarten mee gemaakt.

I glued torn strips of paper to the bottom of the cards.

Onderaan gescheurde strookjes papier geplakt.

I bought the die cut of the reindeer last year but I'm still surprised how well they look on cards :)

De rendierenstans kocht ik vorig jaar al maar de diertjes blijven mooi vind ik :)

To add Christmas wishes I used various text stamps.

Gecombineerd met verschillende tekststempels.

The past week I again finished a few spreads in my tiny Pocket Journal.

The pages of this journal were folded from all kinds of paper scraps....so no blank pages to start with. This journal is always on my desk. I smear scraps of paint on the pages, add leftovers of washi tape, collage papers....Most of the backgrounds were created by coincidence :)

De afgelopen week opnieuw een aantal spreads afgewerkt in mijn kleine Pocket Journal.

De pagina's bestaan uit allerlei gekleurde en geverfde restjes papier....Er zit dus meestal al wat kleur op de pagina's. Verder heb ik het altijd bij de hand om restjes verf in te smeren, restjes tape of tissue papier in op te plakken enz...De meeste achtergronden ontstaan gewoon vanzelf :)

I put a mask on top of the left page and colored around the mask with Distress Crayons. I added some stamping and glued a collage word to the silhouette to finish it off.

Links een mask op de achtergrond gelegd en errond gekleurd met Distress Crayons. Verder nog wat stempelwerk toegevoegd en een woord (be) opgeplakt.

I drew a flower on top of a pink background. I colored the flower with Distress Crayons. Doodled around the flower using a black and a white pen.

Een bloem getekend op een roze achtergrond. De bloem ingekleurd met Distress Crayons. Rond de bloem gekrabbeld met een witte en zwarte pen.

Today I'm showing you the pink versions of my deer cards :)

Na 2 blauwe versies zijn vandaag de roze varianten aan de beurt :)

I used a die cut to cut out the painted panels.

Een stans met kruisjes gebruikt om de geverfde paneeltjes uit te snijden.

 I made fairly messy brushstrokes and left some white space randomly. I went for a snowy look :)

Beetje slordig geverfd en stukjes wit gelaten, zo lijkt er wel sneeuw te liggen :)

I have another Christmas card to show today. 

Opnieuw een kerstkaartje vandaag. 

The circles were heat embossed with white embossing powder. I colored the background with Distress Ink 'Cracked Pistachio' using a blending tool.

De ringen op de achtergrond bewerkt met wit embossingpoeder. Daaroverheen Distress Inkt 'Cracked Pistachio' aangebracht met een blending tool.

I attached the mini pompons to the card with small double sided tape. A quick and easy way to adhere small elements.

 De mini pompons onderaan plakte ik vast met een dun strookje dubbelzijdige tape. Snel klaar.

Scribble Sticks #1

I colored the background of this card with Dina Wakley's Scribble Sticks. The dotted circles were stamped with her paint. I love the fact that the colors of the sticks and the paints are the same.

Voor de achtergrond van dit kaartje Dina Wakley's Scribble Sticks gebruikt. De stippen cirkels stempelde ik met haar verf. Tof dat de kleuren van de sticks en de verf dezelfde zijn.

 I overstamped the colored circles with the open circle stamp using Archival Ink Jet Black. The tiny stamp I used on the background is by Cats on Appletrees.

De gekleurde cirkels overstempeld met de open cirkel stempel en Archival Inkt Jet Black. Het kleine stempeltje op de achtergrond is van Cats on Appletrees.

Zoals bij de kaartjes uit de vorige post weer gewerkt met kleine stempeltjes.

Wat de tekst betreft: meestal heb ik veel moeite om een mooie afdruk te maken met clear stempels. Dankzij de MISTI tool is dit nu verleden tijd. Gewoon een paar keer beïnkten en stempelen, alles blijft mooi op zijn plaats liggen.

As on the cards from the previous post I worked with small stamps again.

I stamped the text with the help of my MISTI tool. Usually I find it hard to make crisp prints with clear stamps but not anymore. If the print doesn't look perfect the first time I just repeat the stamping process.

Ik had snel een aantal kadolabeltjes nodig. Deze maakte ik van restjes kaartkarton.

I've used scraps of cardstock to make these small gift tags.

Net zoals bij DIT en DIT kaartje gebruikte ik weer mijn kleine 'cats on appletrees' bloemenstempel.

As on THIS and THIS card I used my small 'cats on appletrees' flower stamp. 

Deze stempeltjes werken niet met alle inkten maar wel perfect met deze Memento Luxe inkt.

These stamps work great with Memento Luxe ink.

Een soort bloemenpatroon gemaakt en daar een tekststempel overheen gezet.

I created a flower pattern and added a wish on top.

Voor dit kaartje had ik echt niet meer dan 10 minuten nodig.

It took me less than 10 minutes to create this card.

Om de bloemen te stempelen deze (oude) ColorBox stempelkussentjes gebruikt.

To stamp the flowers I used these ColorBox inkpads.

De strook met wens verhoogd opgeplakt.

I stamped a birthday wish on a strip of paper and attached it to the card with 3D tape.
