Small Stencil - Three Circles Set #2

 

On this card I again used the 'Small Stencil - Three Circles Set' by Darkroom Door.

I picked a colorful gel print from my stash to start with. I stamped dots, text and grid on top of the gel print with various Darkroom Door stamps using StazOn Ink 'Teal Blue' & 'Cactus Green' and white paint.

Voor dit kaartje werkte ik opnieuw met de 'Small Stencil - Three Circles Set' van Darkroom Door.

Ik koos een kleurige gel print uit om mee te beginnen. Tekst, stippen en een raster over de gel print heen gestempeld met verschillende Darkroom Door stempels en StazOn Inkt 'Teal Blue' & 'Cactus Green' en witte verf.

I created three flowers by applying modeling paste through the largest circle of the stencil.

Drie bloemen gemaakt door structuurpasta aan te brengen doorheen de grootste cirkel van de stencil.

I used one of the masks from the set on the flowers that overlap.

Ook een maskertje uit de set gebruikt bij de bloemen die mekaar overlappen.

After drying I colored the flowers with Gelatos. I applied pigment with the Gelatos sticks and spread the colors with my fingers. By making circular movements I tried to imitate roses.

To draw the stems I used a black pen.

Na het drogen de cirkels ingekleurd met Gelatos. Pigment aangebracht met de Gelatos sticks en de kleuren met mijn vingers verspreid. Door cirkelvormige bewegingen te maken geprobeerd om rozen te imiteren.

Stelen getekend met een zwarte pen.

Inspiration Wednesday 2015 #16

 Voor "Inspiration Wednesday 2015" van Donna Downey heb ik nog een heel aantal lessen in te halen. Eindelijk weer eens tijd gevonden om een spread te maken in mijn Art Journal.

For the "Inspiration Wednesday 2015" online course by Donna Downey I still have some catching up to do. I finally had a spare moment to make a new spread in my Art Journal.

Deze keer gestart met het opplakken van stof.

 I started by glue-ing down fabric to the pages.

Ik koos voor een dun Liberty stofje uit mijn voorraad en plakte het vast met gel medium.

I picked some Liberty fabric out of my stash and attached it to the pages with gel medium.

Op de stof hier en daar gesso aangebracht.

I randomly applied gesso on the fabric.

Over de gesso bloemen gemaakt met lichtgewicht structuurpasta en een stencil.

De bloemen kleurde ik met Faber-Castell Gelatos.

Using light modeling paste and a stencil I created flowers on top of the gesso. Colored the flowers with Faber-Castell Gelatos.

De tekst maakte ik ook met behulp van een stencil.

The text is done the same way.

De achtergrond gedeeltelijk groen en heel lichtblauw geverfd.

I painted parts of the background using green and light blue paint.

Na het aanbrengen van schaduwen ook nog spatjes gemaakt met witte verdunde verf.

After adding shadow I made splashes with white paint.

Een blokkenpatroon gemaakt met Faber Castell Gelatos. 

I created a grid pattern with Faber Castell Gelatos. 

Met witte gesso de kleurblokken iets te laten vervagen.

To soften the color blocks I used white gesso.

Hier en daar nog wat accenten aangebracht met witte verf en een grijze Gelatos.

I added accents with grey Gelatos and white paint.

De strepen op dit kaartje maakte ik opnieuw met mijn Faber Castell Gelatos. 

I used my Faber Castell Gelatos to do the stripes on this card.

Een stencil op de achtergrond gelegd en wat van de kleuren weer weggepoetst met een babydoekje.

I laid a stencil on top of the background and removed some of the color with a baby wipe.

Ik maakte de geruite achtergrond van dit kaartje met Faber Castell Gelatos.

I made the grid pattern on the background of this card with my Faber Castell Gelatos.

 Daarover gesponsd met witte verf en een  stencil.

 Did some sponging on top with white paint and a stencil.

Houten bloemetjes uit de voorraad. Blij dat ik ze eindelijk eens kon gebruiken :)

So happy I could finally use some of these wooden flowers from my stash :)

Gelatos

Voor dit label mijn Faber Castell Gelatos uit de kast getrokken.

Eerst gesso gesmeerd, daarna de achtergrond gekleurd met verschillende blauwe Gelatos. De tekst gestempeld met Archival Inkt 'Cornflower Blue' en de dots geëmbossed met WOW embossingpoeder 'Opaque Bright White'.

To colour this tag I digged up my Faber Castell Gelatos. I first applied gesso to the tag, then coloured the background with blue Gelatos. I stamped the text with Archival Ink 'Cornflower Blue' and heat embossed the dots with WOW embossing powder 'Opaque Bright White'.

Deze 'CAS' bloemen gemaakt met behulp van een cirkelsjabloon. Ook gekleurd met Gelatos.

I made the CAS flowers with a circle template, coloured them with Gelatos as well.

De vogel stempelde ik op een papiertje uit het Flow Book For Paper Lovers.

I stamped the bird on a paper from the Flow Book For Paper Lovers.

Weer een pagina gemaakt in mijn Art Journal vandaag. Alles gekleurd en gestempeld met Faber Castell Gelatos.

I made another spread in my Art Journal today. Did the coloring as well as the stamping with Faber Castell Gelatos.

Deze kleurtjes gebruikt.

Used these colors.

De bloemenstempels beïnkt met Gelatos, hier een dun laagje water over gesprayed met een Mini Mister en daarna de bloemen afgedrukt op het onbewerkte papier.

I inked up the flower stamps with the Gelatos, sprayed some water on top and stamped straight on the blank paper of my journal.

Voor de achtergrond strepen gezet met blauwe en gele Gelatos en alles uitgeveegd met een nat penseel.

For the background I scribbled with blue and yellow Gelatos and blended the colors with a wet paint brush.

Stelen getekend, schaduw en witte accenten aangebracht op de bloemen.

Added stems, white accents and some shadow to the flowers.

Op dit kaartje de Hero Arts 'Small Open Flowers' als kerstballen laten doorgaan.

On this card I used the 'Small Open Flowers' by Hero Arts as Christmas ornaments.

De ondergrond eerst geverfd met gesso en daarna met Faber Castell Gelatos.

After painting the background with gesso I colored it with Faber Castell Gelatos.

Daarna 3 rondjes gestempeld met gesso en deze wat kleur gegeven met rode en oranje Neocolors. Het idee voor de gesso cirkels vond ik bij Hermine.

De Hero Arts bloemen na het stempelen geëmbossed met zwart embossingpoeder. De blaadjes gekleurd met een zwarte stift.

Stamped three circles with gesso and colored them with red and orange Neocolors. Saw beautiful gesso circles on a card by Hermine.

Heat embossed the Hero Arts flowers with black embossing powder. Colored the petals with a black marker.

Birthday Card

Voor dit verjaardagskaartje eerst bedrukt tissue papier gekleefd en daar gesso overheen gesmeerd. Deze achtergrond gekleurd met Gelatos.

De bloemen gemaakt met gesso en een sjabloon. Nog wat stempel- en sponswerk toegevoegd om het af te werken.

For this birthday card I started with collaging patterned tissue paper on a blank card base. Put a layer of gesso on top and colored the background with Gelatos.

Made the flowers with gesso and a template. Added some stamping and sponging to finish it off.
