Villa Augustus

De voorbije week van een zonnige dag geprofiteerd en Dordrecht bezocht. We gingen ook even langs bij Villa Augustus, een site met hotel/restaurant en bloementuin, groententuin, bessentuin, markt en zoveel meer.... Een fijne plek om te wandelen, te eten, te winkelen en inspiratie op te doen. Ik kwam terug met heel veel foto's...

On a beautiful sunny day last week we visited Villa Augustus, located in Dordrecht, the Netherlands. 

Villa Augustus is a hotel/restaurant with flower gardens, vegetable gardens, a garden full of berries, a market and much more. A beautiful and inspiring place! I came back with lots of photos...

In 2010 zag ik een foto van deze muren in een tijdschrift en ik raakte er door geïnspireerd voor een kaart. Ik herkende ze onmiddellijk :)

I noticed a picture of these walls in a magazine in 2010 and I made a card inspired by the beautiful colours. Happy to see these walls are still there :) 

Het wordt stilaan herfst...

Photo a Day 'January'

Heel hartelijk bedankt voor de vele enthousiaste reacties bij het bericht over het fotoboek dat ik maakte met mijn dagelijkse foto's van 2013. 

Daar ben ik heel blij mee!

Dit jaar ga ik gewoon verder met het project.

This is an overview of my photos of January.

Dit jaar doe ik mee met fmsphotoaday. Elke maand wordt daar een lijstje met opdrachten aangeleverd. Ik gebruik dat lijstje als inspiratiebron. 

We posten met een hele bende elke dag onze foto's op Instagram.

Bottle Brush Trees

Er zijn allerlei ingewikkelde DIY's te vinden om dit soort boompjes te kleuren maar ik kleurde ze gewoon met Dylusions spray inkt. Slechts 2 kleuren gebruikt. De lichtgekleurde bomen kregen 1 laagje, de donkere een  heleboel :)

There are all kinds of complicated DIY's on the web on how to color bottle brush trees. I colored them with Dylusions spray ink. One layer for the light-colored trees, a lot of layers for the dark ones. Easy peasy :)

Alles klaar gezet voor de fotoshoot :)

En een heleboel kaarten gemaakt.

Made a lot of cards.

Foto's geprint, uitgeknipt, randjes rafelig gemaakt, opgeplakt....

Printed the photos, cut them out, distressed the edges, attached them to white cards....

Een tape accentje kon niet ontbreken.

Added some tape accents.
