Today I'm sharing a card I made for a newborn baby boy. I made personalized cards like this before.

Ik maakte al vaker deze gepersonaliseerde babykaartjes. Deze keer voor de geboorte van de kleine Walt.

 Each letter consists out of 5 layers. For the bottom layer I used blue cardstock.

Elke letter bestaat uit 5 laagjes en voor de onderste laag gebruikte ik blauw kaartkarton.

A while ago I took part in the online class 'Wonky Bits' by Willa Wanders.

In this course Wendy shows how to draw botanical elements using a fine tip applicator and black paint.

Due to the fact the paint doesn't come out of the tip equally the result is a bit wonky.

Een tijdje geleden schreef ik me in voor een gratis online cursus van Willa Wanders, 'Wonky Bits'. Daar leerde ik van Wendy bloemen en blaadjes tekenen met een 'fine tip applicator' en zwarte verf.

Tekenen met zo'n applicator waar de verf dan soms ook nog onregelmatig uitkomt zorgt voor een soort van slordig resultaat, maar dat is net de bedoeling.

I colored the background of this card using Dina Wakley Gloss Sprays.

De achtergrond van dit kaartje gekleurd met Dina Wakley Gloss Sprays.

I overstamped the background using black ink and white paint.

I added marks with a pink paint marker and made splatters with fluo paint.

Op deze achtergrond gestempeld met zwarte inkt en witte verf.

Met een roze verfmarker stippen en kruisjes getekend. Spetters gemaakt met fluo verf.

Floral Faves #7

 

Currently I'm joining the online class 'Floral Faves' by Heather Telford. As the name suggests this course is all about flowers. Today I'm sharing another card I made for this course.

Ik heb me aangemeld voor de online cursus 'Floral Faves' van Heather Telford. In deze cursus spelen bloemen de hoofdrol. Hier opnieuw een kaart die maakte voor Floral Faves.

I again applied the no-line watercoloring technique.

The stamping and coloring was done with just 3 ZIG brush markers.

Weer ééntje in het thema 'no-line watercoloring'.

Stempelen en inkleuren deed ik met deze 3 ZIG brush markers.

Wonky Bits #6

 

Another card for my 'Wonky Bits' series.

Opnieuw een kaartje gemaakt voor mijn 'Wonky Bits' reeks.

On the background I used a stencil and pink paint. At the left I adhered a strip of  tissue paper.

Op de achtergrond een stencil gebruikt en roze verf. Links tissue papier gekleefd waar ik een gel print met letters op maakte.

To draw the flower I used a fine tip applicator filled with diluted black paint.

Om de bloem te tekenen gebruikte ik een 'fine tip applicator' gevuld met verdunde zwarte verf.

I added white accents to the black stamping and finished the card off by making white marks and splatters.

Het zwarte stempelwerk een beetje bijgewerkt met een wit stiftje. Ook nog streepjes getekend en witte spetters gemaakt.

I applied gesso through a stencil and painted that background pink after drying.

Gesso aangebracht doorheen een stencil en na het drogen deze achtergrond roze geverfd.

A strip of gel printed tissue paper was adhered to the left.

Aan de linkerkant een strook tissue papier met gel print opgeplakt. 

I added black and white stamping, white marks and fuchsia splatters.

Wit en zwart stempelwerk toegevoegd, witte stippen aangebracht en fuchsia spetters gemaakt.
