Embossing with Stencils

Today I created a set of cards inspired by THIS blogpost. 

 I sponged through a stencil with Versamark ink and heat embossed the print using light blue embossing powder. 

Vandaag een reeks kaartjes gemaakt geïnspireerd op DEZE blogpost. 

Door een stencil gesponst met Versamark inkt en de print daarna bewerkt met lichtblauw embossingpoeder. 

I did the coloring of the flowers with watercolor paint.

Aquarelverf gebruikt om de bloemen in te kleuren.

 

Here I used the same flower on a square card.

Dezelfde bloem maar een vierkante kaart hier.

For the backgrounds I used gelli prints from my stash.

Voor de achtergronden gelli prints uit mijn voorraad gevist.

The Simple Sayings stamp set by Darkroom Door is one of my favorite sets. I used 4 different wishes on these cards.

Om een wens te stempelen grijp ik heel vaak naar de Simple Sayings set van Darkroom Door.

Happy Birthday

On this card I only used one text stamp but lots of Distress Oxide inkpads.

Gewerkt met slechts 1 tekststempel maar met heel veel kleurtjes Distress Oxide inkten.

Snowdrops

A touch of spring on today's card.

I started by stamping circles on a painted background using white paint.

I stamped the snowdrops on white paper and colored the image with Distress Ink.

Een lentekaartje vandaag.

Op de geverfde achtergrond stempelde ik eerst de witte cirkels.

De sneeuwklokjes apart gestempeld en opgeplakt. Ze werken gekleurd met Distress Inkt.

For the tag topper I used scraps of ribbon.

Allerlei restjes bijpassend lint bij mekaar gezocht.

To create this card I started with a kraft card base and added layers using a stamp, stencils, paint and tape. 

Opnieuw laagjes aangebracht met een stempel, stencils, verf en tape. Gewerkt op een kraft ondergrond.

Last year I made stuffed hearts for Craft Stamper using the same technique.

Scribbly Bird Cousins

On this card I used one of Dina Wakley's Scribbly Birds.

To create the background I started by sponging through an alphabet stencil using Distress Ink 'Mermaid Lagoon'. I continued stenciling using the Blazonry stencil by TCW and light blue paint. The purple dots were done with a brand new stencil by Darkroom Door: Polka Dots.

Nog eens een Scribbly Bird van Dina Wakley gebruikt op dit kaartje. 

Op de achtergrond eerst grote letters aangebracht door met Distress Inkt 'Mermaid Lagoon' doorheen een alfabet stencil te sponzen. Daarna ovalen gesponst met lichtblauwe verf. De paarse stippen deed ik met de splinternieuwe Polka Dots stencil van Darkroom Door.

I stamped the green circles and pink dots using stamps from the Darkroom Door Grunge Marks set. 

Voor de groene ringen en roze dots gebruikte ik stempels uit de Darkroom Door Grunge Marks set.
