Squares #2

This is the second card I made for my 'Squares' series. 

I punched 24 inchies out of patterned paper, attached the inchies to a card base with double sided tape and added a layer of tissue paper on top to soften the colors.

Een tweede kaartje gemaakt met vierkantjes in de hoofdrol. 

24 Inchies geponst uit allerlei restjes gedessineerd papier. Deze opgeplakt en er een laagje tissue papier overheen gekleefd om de kleuren wat af te zwakken.

I stamped the VW van on watercolor paper and did the coloring with Distress ink. 

Het VW busje gestempeld op een stukje aquarelpapier.

Here another card I made using the new Darkroom Door stencils. I started by painting colorful stripes on the background. 

Nog een kaartje dat ik maakte met de nieuwe Darkroom Door stencils.

Ik startte hier met het verven van strepen.

Next I sponged white paint through the Large Mesh Stencil and the Small Circles Stencil. I added a layer of pink paint on top of some of the white circles.

Witte verf gesponst doorheen de Large Mesh Stencil en de Small Circles Stencil. Over een aantal van de witte cirkels een laagje roze verf aangebracht.

I adhered Dina Wakley tape on a scrap of paper and punched a heart out of it. The stamped flower in the front is one of my favorites.

Dina Wakley tape op een restje papier geplakt en daar een hart uit geponst. De bloem op de voorgrond blijft één van mijn favorieten.

On this tag I used 2 of the brand new Darkroom Door stencils.

Dit label maakte ik met 2 van de nieuwe Darkroom Door stencils.

I started by coloring a kraft tag with paint. Next I sponged through the Small Circles and Small Crackle stencil using white, pink and fuchsia paint. 

Ik werkte op een kraftkleurig label. Eerst verschillende kleurtjes verf aangebracht. Daarna gesponst doorheen de Small Circles en Small Crackle stencil met witte, roze en fuchsia verf.

I overstamped the background with a flower from the Fine Flowers Vol 2 stamp set.

Overstempeld met een bloem uit de Fine Flowers Vol 2 stempel set.

Welkom op de Darkroom Door Stencil Blog Hop!

 Vandaag toon ik de Art Journal spread die ik maakte met 2 van de nieuwe Darkroom Door stencils. Ik maakte ook een aantal kaarten, die zal ik later deze week posten. Onderaan deze blogpost vind je alle details in verband met de blog hop en de giveaway.

I worked in my large Dylusions journal. The large stencils have +/- the same size as the pages of this journal. After coating both pages with gesso I applied texture paste through the Large Wildflowers Stencil and the Small Circles Stencil.

Ik werkte in mijn groot Dylusions Journal, de perfecte maat voor de grote stencils. Eerst een laag gesso aangebracht en daarna met een paletmes structuurpasta doorheen de Large Wildflowers Stencil and de Small Circles Stencil gesmeerd.

 I colored the flowers and circles with lime paint. Next I added a mixture of teal paint and glazing liquid to both pages. After a few minutes I removed most of the glaze layer with baby wipes.

Toen alles goed droog was de bloemen gekleurd. Daarna een mengsel van turquoise verf en glazing liquid aangebracht op beide pagina's. Na een paar minuten het meeste van die laag weer weggeveegd met babydoekjes.

I repeated this step with Raw Umber paint. Love how this glazing technique turned out on the circles. 

Deze laatste stap nog een keer herhaald met bruine verf. Bij de cirkels kan je het effect van de glaze lagen heel goed zien.

I adhered green tissue paper randomly and overstamped it with parts of the Numbers Border Stamp using white paint.

Stukjes tissue papier willekeurig opgeplakt en overstempeld met de Numbers Border Stamp en witte verf.

I stamped randomly with the matching Circles Background Stamp as well.

Ook hier en daar gestempeld met de corresponderende Circles Background Stamp.

I stamped parts of the Alphabet Texture Stamp using Archival Ink 'Coffee'.
