Canvas Scribbly Birds

Een 30 x 30 cm box canvas gemaakt.

I made a 12x 12" box canvas.

Eerst een collage gemaakt van bedrukt tissue papier, boektekst, kleefletters, restjes scrapbookpapier, gestempelde bloemen.... 
Er zijn een aantal foto's van 'the making of' te zien op Instagram. 

I started by collaging patterned tissue paper, vintage book text, sticky letters, scrapbook papers, stamped flowers...to the canvas. 
You can find pictures of 'the making of' on my Instagram account.

Daarna alles geverfd en met stencils en witte verf stippen en cijfers aangebracht. Ook gestempeld met verf.

Next I applied layers of paint and added white dots and numbers using stencils and white paint. I did some stamping with paint as well.

De Scribbly Birds kregen ook een laagje acrylverf.

 I colored the birds with acrylic paint.

Papierresten op mekaar geschikt, vast gestikt en gebruikt als 'tak' voor de vogels.

I layered leftover papers on top of each other, added machine stitching and used it as a 'branch' for the birds.

On this photo you see a few of the layers.

Drie bloemen gestempeld op restjes geverfd papier, uitgeknipt en het hart versierd met een propje gekleurd tissue papier.

I stamped three flowers on painted paper scraps, cut out and decorated the centre with crumpled tissue paper.

Tenslotte ook nog wat zwarte accenten aangebracht met stempels en een pennetje.

I finished the canvas off with black accents using stamps and a fineliner.

Autumn #1

In de natuur maken bloemen plaats voor takken met besjes.

Ik heb dit op een kaart proberen te vangen. Geen traditionele herfstkleuren, ik weet het :)

Outside flowers make room for branches and berries. I tried to capture some of these on a card. This is my idea of how a fall card should look like :)

Helemaal gemaakt uit restjes...

For the background, leaves and branches I used scraps...

...en een aantal leuke knopen.

...in combination with a few cute buttons.

Gelli Print #4 & Overview

Dit is de laatste kaart die ik maakte van de A4 gelli plate print uit deze post.

Ik stempelde een JOFY bloem en kleurde de blaadjes met een wit Stabilo potlood. Tenslotte nog een aantal propjes geverfd tissue papier opgeplakt.

This is the final card I made from the A4 gelli plate print out of this blogpost.

I stamped a JOFY flower and colored the petals with a white Stabilo pencil. I finished the flower of with painted and crumpled tissue paper.

Annick startte dit voorjaar een blog en die heet 'Zot van Letters'. Ze maakt de mooiste dingen met letters in de hoofdrol. Als je haar nog niet volgt, snel doen!

Annick started a blog back in April, it's called 'Zot van Letters'. That's Dutch for 'mad about letters'. She makes awesome projects and decorates them with hand lettering. I would invite you to visit her blog and follow her, you won't regret!

Via haar blog vond ik het patroon van deze hartendoosjes.

 Annick maakte zelf 3 hele mooie variaties.

Voor de oranje versie gebruikte ik een gelli plate print. De andere vouwde ik van gedessineerd papier uit een oudere Tilda papierblok.

I've folded the orange box out of a gelli plate print, the blue ones were made out of patterned paper from an older Tilda paper pad.

Ik versierde mijn doosjes met stempels. Leuk om klein kadootjes in te doen.

 I used stamps to decorate my boxes. They are perfect as a gift box for small presents.

Inspiration Wednesday 2016 #13

Weer een lesje van Inspiration Wednesday afgewerkt. Ik ben in het midden van het boek aangekomen dwz links zie je de laatste pagina van het eerste katern en rechts de eerste pagina van het tweede katern. In het midden was een kleine opening. Over de pagina's en het midden voegtape aangebracht om de boel bij mekaar te houden en te versterken.

Last week I finished another Inspiration Wednesday spread. I arrived in the middle of my book. On the left you see the last page of the first section, on the right the first page of the second section. I stuck joint tape on top of the pages and in the middle to reinforce my journal.

Daarna de ondergrond gekleurd met blauwe, fuchsia en oranje acrylverf. 

Next I colored the background using blue, fuchsia and orange acrylic paint.

Met een make-up sponsje lijm aangebracht doorheen stencils en daar bladzilver over/op gelegd. De raster ondergrond zorgt voor een verweerd resultaat maar dat vind ik wel tof :)

I applied glue through stencils using a cosmetic sponge and put silver leaf on top. Due to the grid background the outcome isn't crisp but I love the distressed look :)

De pagina's versierd met oude boektekst, restjes papier, stukjes tape en scappers floss.

I decorated the pages with vintage book text, paper scraps, washi tape and scrappers floss. 

Op de kleine pagina's werkte ik ook met bladzilver maar ipv lijm hier dubbelzijdig klevende rub-ons gebruikt.

On the inclusions I used silver leaf in combination with adhesive rub-ons.
