Bright Blossoms

Een kaartje gemaakt met één van de mooie bloemenstempels uit de Darkroom Door 'Bright Blossoms' stempelsets.

Made a card with one of the beautiful stamps from the Darkroom Door 'Bright Blossoms' stamp sets.

Vierkantjes gestempeld met een zelfgemaakt stempeltje. Daar een laagje bladzilver op aangebracht.

Stamped squares with a home made stamp. Covered these squares with silver leaf.

Het kaartje is gevouwen uit een strook papier van 30 op 8,5 cm. 

De touwtjes dienen als sluiting.

Folded the card from a small strip of paper (12 x 3 2/5").

Used some cord as a closure.

Weer een label gemaakt met structuurpasta. Deze keer één van mijn favoriete sjablonen gebruikt.

Made another tag with modeling paste. Used one of my favorite templates here.

Na droging het motief gekleurd met Distress Inkt.

Colored the doily with Distress Ink.

Het hartje van deze bloem met fuchsia inkt bijgekleurd.

Added some fuchsia ink to the centre of the flower.

It's Your Day

Een dikke laag structuurpasta gesmeerd op een deel van dit label.

Put a thick coat of modeling paste on one side of this tag.

Bloemen in de laag pasta gedrukt. Na droging zaten die muurvast.

De ondergrond gekleurd met groene en blauwe acrylverf. Veel water verneveld om de kleuren in elkaar te laten overlopen.

Pressed flowers into the paste. The modeling paste works as a strong glue.

Colored the background with blue and green acrylic paint after drying. Used the dripping technique to let the colors blend.

Een stuk van een definitiestempel  vaag afgedrukt.

Did some random stamping with a dictionary stamp.

Stelen getekend met een fineliner.

Photo a Day 'January'

Heel hartelijk bedankt voor de vele enthousiaste reacties bij het bericht over het fotoboek dat ik maakte met mijn dagelijkse foto's van 2013. 

Daar ben ik heel blij mee!

Dit jaar ga ik gewoon verder met het project.

Dit jaar doe ik mee met fmsphotoaday. Elke maand wordt daar een lijstje met opdrachten aangeleverd. Ik gebruik dat lijstje als inspiratiebron. 

We posten met een hele bende elke dag onze foto's op Instagram.

Art Journey Challenge #42 '75% White'

 Er start vandaag een nieuwe uitdaging bij Art Journey Design Team Blog. Deze keer was ik aan de beurt om het thema te kiezen en ik koos voor '75% Wit'

Ik maakte deze kaartjes als voorbeeld voor de challenge.

I made this set of cards to inspire you.

Op een 10 x 10 kaartje gestempeld met tekst stempels. Daar een paar lagen gesso overheen gezet. 

Stamped on a 4 x 4" card with text stamps. Added a few coats of gesso on top.

Structuur aangebracht met gesso en een sjabloon.

Added texture with gesso and a template.

Deze  fuchsia versie is op dezelfde manier opgebouwd.

This fuchsia card was build up the same way.

De gesso structuur iets 'naar voor' gehaald door er met stempelinkt lichtjes overheen te gaan.

Highlighted the texture with ink from an inkpad.

Ik ben altijd op zoek naar mooie knoopjes. Af en toe komen ze dan van pas.

I'm always on the hunt for cute buttons. Used 2 of them on these cards.
