During one of the lessons of Art Journal Summer School Marieke wanted us to make a spread inspired by a parking lot. I visited Middelburg in the Netherlands last year and took some pictures of a nice parking lot over there :)
Voor één van de lessen van Art Journal Summer School moesten we ons laten inspireren door een parkeergarage. Vorig jaar bezochten we Middelburg in Nederland en daar nam ik toevallig een paar foto's van de parkeergarage waar we stonden :)
To create the white text I used a stencil. I did some journaling about our visit with a fuchsia paint marker. I stenciled some white flowers on top of the text to make it less visible.
For the background I was inspired by the scribbles and doodles you often see on public toilet doors in big cities.
Voor de grote witte tekst gebruikte ik een stencil. Met een fuchsia marker schreef ik een anekdote op over ons bezoek. De tekst stopte ik gedeeltelijk weer weg onder de witte bloemen.
Voor de achtergrond liet ik me inspireren door het gekrabbel op openbare toiletdeuren in grote steden.
I stamped the cars seperatly on watercolor paper and did the coloring with watercolor paint.
De auto's apart gestempeld op aquarelpapier, met waterverf ingekleurd en opgeplakt.
