I took an online course at Craft School Oz recently and learned how to make recycled fabric baskets.
Ik volgde onlangs een online cursus bij Craft School Oz en leerde er mandjes maken met gerecycleerde materialen.
On this basket I applied the coiling technique.
Voor dit mandje werkte ik met de coiling techniek.
I used cord, strips of fabric and raffia.
Ik gebruikte koord, repen stof en raffia lint.
The final row of raffia blanket stitches turned out a bit wobbly so I added crochet stitches to finish the basket off.
Niet zo blij met de laatste rij raffia dekensteken dus ik haakte nog een extra randje om het mandje mooi af te werken.
Happy with how this one turned out. I'm already working on another one. The possibilities with this coiling technique are endless. And there are so much materials that can be used to make these recycled fabric baskets.
Uiteindelijk ben ik wel blij met het resultaat. Ik ben al aan een volgend mandje bezig. De mogelijkheden met deze coiling techniek zijn eindeloos. En er is zoveel materiaal dat gerecycleerd kan worden en gebruikt voor deze mandjes.
