Abstract Stamp - Geometric Gems #1

 

I made this card for Darkroom Door featuring the new Abstract Stamp - Geometric Gems.

I started by making a gel print on tissue paper with the Large Stencil - Honeycomb and the Medium Stencil - Smile using black, pink and orange paint. I adhered the tissue paper to a card panel and stamped the Geometric Gems to the right side of the panel.  Made a zig zag border to the right by cutting along the right side of the stamped image. 

Dit kaartje gemaakt voor Darkroom Door met de nieuwe Abstract Stamp - Geometric Gems.

Eerst een gel print gemaakt op tissue papier met de Large Stencil - Honeycomb  en de Medium Stencil - Smile. Ik gebruikte roze, oranje en zwarte verf. Het tissue papier op een stuk mixed media papier geplakt. Rechts de Geometric Gems afgedrukt. Aan de rechterkant een zig zag boord gemaakt door te knippen langs de gestempelde afbeelding.

I stamped circles to the right side of a card using the Abstract Stamp - Faded Circles and Archival Ink 'Jet Black'. I adhered the gel print on top and added a stamped flower and a birthday wish. 

Op de rechterkant van een langwerpige kaart gestempeld  met de Abstract Stamp - Faded Circles en Archival Inkt 'Jet Black'. De gel print bovenop de kaart geplakt. Een bloem en verjaardagswens gestempeld. 

I finished the card off with a piece of ribbon. The ribbon was colored with Distress Ink 'Picked Raspberry'.

Afgewerkt met een stukje lint dat ik kleurde met Distress Inkt 'Picked Raspberry'.

Abstract Stamp - Faded Circles #2

 

On this art journal spread I used the new Abstract Stamp - Faded Circles by Darkroom Door.

Op deze spread in mijn art journal gebruikte ik de nieuwe Abstract Stamp - Faded Circles van Darkroom Door.

I started bij painting the lower third of the pages with black paint. I made patterned tissue paper by stamping on white tissue paper with the Abstract Stamp - Faded Circles using Archival Ink 'Jet Black'.

I glued torn strips of that tissue paper on the art journal pages with Matte Medium.

Ik begon met het verven van het onderste derde van de spread met zwarte verf. Ik maakte gedessineerd tissue papier door herhaaldelijk te stempelen met de Abstract Stamp - Faded Circles en Archival Inkt 'Jet Black'.

Het tissue papier in repen gescheurd en op de pagina's gekleefd met Matte Medium.

I applied white and cream colored paint on top of the tissue paper. After drying I stamped on top with the same Abstract Stamp - Faded Circles and black ink. I added fuchsia circles as well using paint. 

I finished the spread off with washi tape, stamped flowers and parts of the Snippet Rolls I made earlier.

Over het tissue papier geverfd met witte en crèmekleurige verf. Na het drogen het tissue papier overstempeld met nog meer zwarte cirkels. Ook een paar fuchsia cirkels aangebracht door te stempelen met verf.

De spread afgewerkt met washi tape, gestempelde bloemetjes en bijpassende stukjes van de Snippet Rolls die ik eerder al maakte.

The quote was done with stamps from the new Small Sketched Alphabet stamp set.

Voor de quote gebruikte ik stempels uit de nieuwe Small Sketched Alphabet stempel set.

Quote Stamp - Light Remains #1

 

Today I'm sharing a tag I created for Darkroom Door featuring the new 'Quote Stamp - Light Remains'. 

Dit label gemaakt voor Darkroom Door met de nieuwe 'Quote Stamp - Light Remains'. 

I did the stamping with Versamark ink and heat embossed the text with gold embossing powder. I applied Versamark ink straight from the inkpad to the edges of the tag and heat embossed the edges as well. 

Gestempeld met Versamark inkt en de tekst bewerkt met gouden embossing poeder. Het Versamark inktkussen over de rand van het label 'gesleept' en dat randje ook bewerkt met hetzelfde embossingpoeder.

I decorated the tag with a piece of flower ribbon.

Het label onderaan versierd met bloemenlint.

The tag topper was attached using gold thread and I made splatters on the tag with watercolor paint. 

De  'tag topper' vastgemaakt met goudkleurige draad en spatten gemaakt op het label met aquarelverf.

I made this square card featuring the new Abstract Stamp - Faded Circles by Darkroom Door.

Er kwam nog een leuke nieuwe stempel uit bij Darkroom Door, de 'Abstract Stamp - Faded Circles'. Ik maakte er deze vierkante kaart mee.

I made a print on the left side of the card using Archival Ink 'Carnation Red'.

De stempel afgedrukt op de linkerkant van de kaart met Archival Inkt 'Carnation Red'. 

At the bottom of the card I added a piece of weaving.

I started by poking 2 rows of holes at a distance of 2 cm. The distance in between the holes is 0,5 cm. I made vertical stitches using a needle and red thread. Next I've woven cream colored yarn through the red stitches. 

I started each row with a new piece of yarn.

Onderaan de kaart wilde ik graag een weefwerkje maken. Daarvoor prikte ik eerst 2 rijen gaatjes in de kaart. Tussen de gaatjes is de afstand 0,5 cm, tussen de rijen 2 cm. Ik maakte verticale steken met een naald en rood garen en weefde er daarna crèmekleurige breiwol doorheen.

De uiteinden telkens afgeknipt en los laten hangen.

The long needle came in handy. 

Een weefnaald kwam goed van pas hier. 

To create the flowers I used a variety of circles. For each flower I punched a circle out of paper, one out of vintage book text and 3 out of tissue paper. The vintage book text was gesso-ed first and overstamped with the smallest flower stamp from the new 'Scribble Flowers' stamp set.

I finished each flower off with a paper stem and I glued a plastic flower in the centre.

De bloemen zijn opgebouwd uit verschillende cirkels. Per bloem kleefde ik een papieren cirkel, een cirkel geponst uit boektekst en 3 cirkels van tissue papier op mekaar. De boektekst kreeg een laagje gesso en werd bestempeld met de kleinste bloem uit de nieuwe 'Scribble Flowers' stempelset.

Elke bloem afgewerkt met een papieren steel en een beige bloemetje in het hart geplakt.

I made a card with the new 'Scribble Flowers' stamp set as well.

Ook een kaart gemaakt me de nieuwe 'Scribble Flowers' stempelset.

First I dry brushed white paint on a kraft card panel. Next I added a circle by applying pink and orange paint through the 'Small Stencil - Circle Set'.

Begonnen met het 'dry brushen' van witte verf op een kraft kaart. Vervolgens een cirkel aangebracht door met roze en oranje verf te sponzen doorheen de 'Small Stencil - Circle Set'.

With the new 'Abstract Stamp - Faded Circles' I randomly stamped circles on the card using white paint. I stamped the smallest flower from the 'Scribble Flowers' set on top of the painted circle using Archival Ink 'Jet Black'.

Met de nieuwe 'Abstract Stamp - Faded Circles' subtiel hier en daar cirkels gestempeld met witte verf. De kleinste bloem uit de 'Scribble Flowers' stempelset bovenop de geverfde cirkel gestempeld met Archival Inkt 'Jet Black'.

I stamped a stem and grass and used green paint to color the images in. I decorated the grass using a pink paint marker. The yellow tab was done with a stamp from the 'Small Sketched Alphabet' stamp set. Did the stamping on a leftover gel print.

Een steel en gras gestempeld en dit ingekleurd met groene verf. Bij het gras ook nog bloemetjes getekend met een roze verf marker. Voor het gele tabje gebruikte ik een stempel uit de 'Small Sketched Alphabet' stempelset. Gestempeld op een restje gel print.

On this card I used one of the stamps from the new 'Small Sketched Alphabet' stamp set as well.

Ook bij deze kaart gebruikte ik een stempel van de nieuwe 'Small Sketched Alphabet' stempelset.

I've chosen to work with the sketched squares on this card, used them to make watercolor swatches. I stamped on watercolor paper and colored the images with Distress Ink. I added white splatters using a POSCA pen and finished the card off with small buttons.

Deze keer gekozen voor de vierkante hokjes. Ik gebruikte ze om een soort van kleurstalen te maken. Gestempeld op aquarelpapier en alles ingekleurd met Distress Inkt. Witte spetters aangebracht met een witte POSCA pen en de kaart verder afgewerkt met kleine knoopjes.

In addition to alphabet stamps, the new 'Small Sketched Alphabet' stamp set contains cute text elements as well. I stamped a pattern on a card using one of those sketched rectangles.

Bij de nieuwe 'Small Sketched Alphabet' stempelset horen ook een aantal leuke tekstvakken.

Ik stempelde een kaart vol met het rechthoekige tekstvak.

I colored each rectangle with Distress Ink using a water brush. I left one rectangle blank and stamped the word 'hello' inside.

Ik kleurde elke rechthoek in met Distress Inkt en een waterpenseel. Eén hokje liet ik wit en daar stempelde ik het woord 'hello' in. 

I removed the centres of 3 paper flowers and replaced them by buttons.

Before adhering the buttons I added blue waxed cord.

Het hart van 3 papieren bloemetjes verwijderd en vervangen door knoopjes.

Vooraleer de knoopjes op te plakken rijgde ik er blauw wax koord doorheen.

Scribble Flowers #1

 

Darkroom Door released new stamps and stencils yesterday. I was able to make a few samples using the new stamps. On this journal spread you see flowers from the beautiful new 'Scribble Flowers' stamp set.

Gisteren kwamen er weer nieuwe stempels en stencils uit bij Darkroom Door. Ik mocht een aantal voorbeelden maken met de nieuwe stempels. Op deze art journal spread stempelde ik met bloemen uit de nieuwe 'Scribble Flowers' stempelset.

I started by adhering strips of tissue paper. I first colored the tissue paper using Dylusions Ink Spray and Distress Oxide Spray. I punched circles out of tissue paper and glued them on the spread randomly.

Begonnen met het kleven van stroken tissue papier. Het papier kleurde ik eerst met Dylusions Ink Spray en Distress Oxide Spray. Hier en daar ook cirkels van tissue papier bovenop de stroken gekleefd.

I added squares and dots using stencils. I overstamped the background with the new 'Abstract Stamp - Faded Circles' stamp set. On the circles I used stamps from the 'Grunge Marks' set.

Met stencils vierkantjes en stippen aangebracht. Ook gestempeld met de nieuwe 'Abstract Stamp - Faded Circles'. Op de tissue cirkels gestempeld met stempels  uit de 'Grunge Marks' set.

I stamped the flowers and the grass with Archival Ink 'Jet Black'. The flower centres were made out of 3 layers of tissue paper and a pompon. I stamped the leaves straight onto the background and again on green painted paper. 

I finished the spread off by making splatters with diluted white paint. 

De bloemen en het gras gestempeld met Archival Inkt 'Jet Black'. De bloemen kregen een hart gemaakt van 3 laagjes tissue papier en een pompon. De blaadjes rechtstreeks gestempeld en ook nog eens apart op groen geverfd papier.

Tenslotte nog witte stippen gemaakt door te spetteren met verdunde witte verf.

Pompon Sheep #1

 

After watching an Instagram reel by Amanda Evaston I made these pompon sheep.

Na het bekijken van een Instagram reel van Amanda Evanston maakte ik deze schapen met pompons.

I have a huge collection of pompons in all kinds of colors and sizes :)

On this sheep I used mainly hand made pompons made of Nepal wool. Love the colors of these ones.

Ik heb een aanzienlijke collectie pompons in alle kleuren en maten :)

Bij dit schaap gebruikte ik hoofdzakelijk handgemaakte pompons van Nepalese wol. Ik vind de kleuren van deze pompons erg mooi.

For the backgrounds I worked with gel prints.

Voor de achtergronden gewerkt met gel prints.

I spotted a cute heart on Instagram at seesarastitch. 

Sara used thread ends and tails from the stitched projects she did with her sewing machine. I worked with yarn.

Een leuk hart gezien op Instagram bij seesarastitch.

Sara maakte het van eindjes naaigaren. Ik gebruikte breiwol in 2 kleuren.

I glued a leftover gel print that was done on tissue paper on a card panel.

I added patterns, letters and script with stencils and used black ink to do some stamping on the background.

Een gel print die gemaakt werd op tissue papier op een kaart gekleefd.

Met stencils en verf motieven, letters en script aangebracht. 

Ook op de achtergrond gestempeld met zwarte inkt.

I added details using a black Stabilo pencil and a white POSCA pen.

Details aangebracht met een zwart Stabilo potlood en een witte POSCA pen.

Today I'm sharing a set of quick and easy Sympathy Cards.

Hier een set simpele sterkte kaartjes. 

I inked up the leaves using Distress Oxide Inks.

De blaadjes werden gestempeld met Distress Oxide Inkt.

I overstamped the prints off centre with a matching stamp from the Altenew 'Leaf Canopy' stamp set using black Archival Ink.

De afdrukken iets naast de lijnen overstempeld met een bijpassende stempel uit de Altenew 'Leaf Canopy' stempelset en zwarte Archival inkt.
