Mix & Match

 

For today's cards I used ready made card panels by Cats on Appletrees.

I mixed and matched stamps by various brands to create both cards. 

The vases were stamped on scraps of kraft paper and cut out. The rest of the stamping was done straight onto the cards.

Voor de kaartjes van vandaag werkte ik op kant en klare, tweekleurige kaartjes van Cats on Appletrees. Ik combineerde stempels van verschillende merken.

De vaasjes werden gestempeld op restjes kraft papier en uitgeknipt. Voor de rest stempelde ik alles rechtstreeks op de kaartjes.

Focal points on my cards are often flowers but for this set of cards I've chosen to work with sweets :)

Ik maak heel vaak kaarten met bloemen in de hoofdrol maar voor deze set kaartjes koos ik voor zoetigheden :)

I started by stamping script on the card using black ink. Next I adhered strips of patterned paper and tape to the left side of the card.

Begonnen met het stempelen van het script met zwarte inkt. Daarna strookjes gedessineerd papier en tape op de linkerkant geplakt. 

The cupcake and macarons were stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with embossing powder 'Metallic Gold'.

Distress Ink was used to color the stamped prints.

De stempelafdrukken ingekleurd met Distress Inkt.

I finished the cards off with an enamel dot, some gold twine and a wish.

De kaarten verder afgewerkt met een plakparel, een goudkleurig touwtje en een wens.

On a top fold white card I adhered circles, die cuts I made with a cutting die by Art by Marlene.

I colored the stamped flower using Distress Ink and finished the card off with roses, a button, a strip of patterned paper and a piece of twine.

Op een witte dubbele kaart plakte ik cirkels die ik maakte met een stans van Art by Marlène.

De bloem werd ingekleurd met Distress Inkt. 

De kaart afgewerkt met roosjes, een knoop, een restje gedessineerd papier en een jute touwtje.

The Icing on the Cake

 

For the background of this card I rumbled through my stash to find a nice gel print. 

To the left side of the card I stamped small circles using the 'Abstract Stamp - Faded Circles' by Darkroom Door. The cupcake was stamped on a scrap of paper using grey ink. I colored the cupcake with Distress Ink Salvaged Patina, Wild Honey and Saltwater Taffy. After cutting out I adhered the stamped image to the card using 3D tape. For some extra shine I applied a layer of Glossy Accents to the topping on the cupcake.

The ribbon was colored with Saltwater Taffy Distress Ink as well.

I finished the card off with a wish from the 'Birthday Greetings' stamp set.

Gezocht in mijn voorraad naar een mooie gel print om mee te starten. Op de linkerkant van de gel print stempelde ik kleine cirkeltjes met de 'Abstract Stamp - Faded Circles' van Darkroom Door. De cupcake op een restje papier gestempeld met lichtgrijze inkt. De afdruk ingekleurd met Distress Inkt Salvaged Patina, Wild Honey en Saltwater Taffy. De cupcake uitgeknipt en op de kaart bevestigd met 3D tape. Voor wat extra glans kreeg de toef slagroom op de cupcake een laagje Glossy Accents. 

Het lint kleurde ik met Distress Inkt Saltwater Taffy. De kaart afgewerkt met een wens uit de 'Birthday Greetings' stempelset.

I folded 2 Easter gift boxes using the beautiful Masterpiece Design paper.

Met het mooie Masterpiece Design papier vouwde ik 2 doosjes om kleine paaseitjes in te doen.

The boxes measure approx 8 x 8 cm. I used my Scor-Pal to make the folds, easy peasy.

De doosjes meten ongeveer 8 bij 8 cm. Met behulp van de Scor-Pal zijn ze zo gevouwen.

I wrapped a strip of vellum around each box. To finish the boxes off I used pink and ocher sealing wax beads and a sealing wax stamp. 

Rond elk doosje maakte ik een wikkel van vellum. Voor de afwerking roze en oker zegellak parels en een zegellakstempel gebruikt.

I filled each box with Easter candy.

Elk doosje gevuld met lekkers.

The paper has a different pattern on each side, perfect to fold boxes from!

Het papier heeft aan beide kanten een motief. Ideaal dus om doosjes mee te vouwen!
