Tag Books

 

During the month of May I joined the gel printing challenge by Birgit Koopsen on Instagram. Each day I made gel prints on large tags (10,5 x 21 cm) and at the end of the month I ended up with over 70 tags :)

Gedurende de maand mei nam ik op Instagram deel aan de gel printing challenge van Birgit Koopsen. Ik maakte gel prints op grote labels (10,5 x 21 cm) en op het einde van de maand had ik zo'n 70 labels bij mekaar geprint :)

 With the tags I created 2 tag books.

 

Met de prints 2 labelboekjes gemaakt.

Each day Birgit demonstrated a gel printing technique. All those techniques are now gathered in these tag books. Two books full of inspiration!

Elke dag stond toonde Birgit ons een andere techniek. Al deze technieken zitten nu gebundeld in deze boekjes. Twee boekjes boordevol inspiratie dus! 

I attached the tags to each other by using small strips of white paper.

De labels aan mekaar vast gemaakt door middel van strookjes wit papier.

On the spine I used green bookbinding cloth.

Voor de ruggetjes gebruikte ik groen boekbindlinnen.

The flower was made of the yarn I used for the yarn topic.

I put a piece of pink yarn into the paint on my gel printing plate and pulled a print. The impression of the yarn didn't show up on the print but I ended up with some nicely colored yarn instead :)

De bloem is gemaakt van de wol die voor de 'Yarn' uitdaging gebruikte.

Roze wol in de verf op mijn plate gelegd om een afdruk van de wol te bekomen. De print mislukte maar ik hield mooi gekleurde wol over :)

Sympathy Cards #11

 

During the month of May I took part in the Birgit Koopsen gel printing challenge on Instagram.

I made tag books with the prints, I'll share these books later this week.

On today's card I used a leftover gel print.

In mei deed ik op Instagram mee met de gel printing challenge van Birgit Koopsen. 

Ik maakte labelboekjes met de prints, die toon ik later deze week.

Voor de kaart van vandaag gebruikte ik een print die ik over had.

I overstamped the gel print with the same stamp as I used on the gel print.

I colored the leaves using a ZIG brush marker.

Op de voorgrond dezelfde stempel gebruikt als deze die ik op de gel print gebruikte.

De blaadjes ingekleurd met een ZIG brush marker.

Here's the second card I made on black watercolor paper for 'Floral Faves'.

Hier het tweede kaartje dat ik maakte op zwart aquarelpapier voor 'Floral Faves'.

I again heat embossed the print in black and colored the flowers using pearlescent watercolor paints.

In her online class Heather Telford teaches how to work with those interference colors.

De print opnieuw bewerkt met zwarte embossingpoeder en de bloemen ingekleurd met glanzende/parelmoer aquarelverf.

In haar online cursus toont Heather Telford hoe je het beste met deze verf werkt.

For the gel print as well as the flower I used stamps by Rubber Dance.

The gel print was done with paint and for the flower and leaves I used watercolor paint in matching colors.

Zowel voor de gel print als voor de bloem gebruikte ik stempels van Rubber Dance.

De gel print maakte ik met verf en de bloem is ingekleurd met aquarelverf in bijpassende tinten.

Another card I made for the online class 'Floral Faves' by Heather Telford.

I worked on black watercolor paper and used pearlescent watercolor paints.

Opnieuw een kaartje dat ik maakte voor de online cursus 'Floral Faves' van Heather Telford. Gewerkt op zwart aquarelpapier met glanzende/parelmoer aquarelverf.

I stamped the flower using Versamark ink and heat embossed the print with black embossing powder.

De bloem afgedrukt met Versamark inkt. Over de afdruk zwart embossing poeder gestrooid en verhit.
