Darkroom Door Chevron Texture Stamp #1

Ik ging aan de slag met de nieuwe Chevron texture stempel van Darkroom Door. Hier afgedrukt met roze verf.

For this card I used the new Chevron Texture Stamp by Darkroom Door. Did the stamping with pink paint.

De achtergrond bestaat uit laagjes: zwart papier, witte verf, een verdunde laag groene en turquoise verf....

A lot of layers for the background: black paper, white paint, a wash of green and  turquoise paint....

Hokjes gemaakt met stencils en verf. De tekst op een pagina uit een oud boek gestempeld. De dame afgedrukt op een restje geverfd papier. Een stukje breiwol doet dienst als sjaal.

I created squares and rectangles by sponging through stencils with paint. Stamped the text on gesso-ed vintage book text and the lady on a scrap of painted paper. I added a piece of pink yarn as a scarf.

Shaker Card

Een kleurige verjaardagskaart gemaakt voor ons kleinste nichtje Louise. Ze werd afgelopen week al 6 jaar, de tijd vliegt!

I made a birthay card for our youngest niece Louise who turned 6 last week.

Voor de achtergrond strepen gemaakt met de Basic Stripes stempelset van Simon Says Stamp.

For the background I stamped stripes with stamps from the Basic Stripes set by Simon Says Stamp.

Een eigen variatie op een shaker kaart gemaakt. Ik gebruikte pailletten en kleine kraaltjes als 'schudmateriaal'. De rand mini pomponnen is vastgelijmd en vermijdt dat de losliggende delen aan de 3D foam gaan vastkleven.

I created a shaker card but added a personal touch. I used sequins and small beads as shaking material. De mini pompons were glued to the bottom panel and they prevent the sequins from sticking to the 3D foam.

Non Traditional

Een kerstlabel gemaakt in niet-traditionele kleuren. 

Picked some non traditional colors for this Holiday tag.

Ik verfde papier en gebruikte een embossing mal om dots te maken. Deze opgeschuurd met een stukje schuurpapier.

I painted paper in pink, embossed it with an embossing folder and distressed the dots with sanding paper.

De letters zijn gemaakt met een stencil en glass bead gel.

The text was made with a stencil and glass bead gel.

De boom maakte ik met propjes geverfd tissue papier.

I created the tree with strips of crumpled tissue paper that I painted first.

De tekst komt uit de stempelset 'Sneeuw' van Els Brigé Design. Gestempeld met Memento Luxe 'Morocco'.

Ook vandaag zijn de stempels van Els nog in promotie!

The text is from the set 'Sneeuw' by Els Brigé Design and says 'the most wonderful time of the year'. I did the stamping with Memento Luxe 'Morocco'.

Warme Wensen

Els Brigé is een Belgisch blogmaatje die vandaag een nieuwe website en webshop lanceert. Voor deze gelegenheid bracht ze 4 stempelsets met Nederlandstalige teksten uit. Ik kreeg twee sets om uit te proberen: 'Sneeuw' en 'Warme Wensen'. De sets zijn onderling combineerbaar wat oneindig veel mogelijkheden biedt.

Els is a Belgian blogfriend. She launched a brand new website and webshop today. On this occasion she designed 4 (Dutch) stamp sheets. I received 2 sets to try out. Lucky me :)

Ik maakte deze kaart met stempels uit de kerst sets van Els.

De wens komt uit de set 'Warme Wensen' en is gestempeld met Archival inkt 'Jet Black'. Bij warme wensen hoort volgens mij een warm boompje, gemaakt met zachte wol :)

I made this cards with stamps from the Christmas sets by Els. 

I've cut out a simple tree and wrapped it with pink yarn. The quote says 'Warm Wishes' and was stamped with Archival Ink 'Jet Black'. 

De sneeuwvlokken uit de set 'Sneeuw' werden geëmbossed met WOW embossingpoeder 'Opaque Bright White'.

I heat embossed the snowflakes with WOW embossing powder 'Opaque Bright White'.

Darkroom Door: Pretty Poppies #1

I made a card with the brand new Pretty Poppies collage stamp.

Op een vierkante kaart eerst een collage gemaakt met boektekst, gedessineerd tissue papier, handgeschreven tekst... Daar een dunne laag gesso over gesmeerd. Kleine hoeveelheden groene, blauwe en witte verf aangebracht met een plastic kaart. Witte cirkels gestempeld met verf.

I collaged book text, ledger paper, patterned tissue paper... to a card panel using gel medium. I brushed a thin layer of gesso on top and applied small amounts of green, light blue and white paint with a plastic card. I stamped circles with white paint.

De collage stempel en de tekst gestempeld met Archival Inkt Jet Black.

De collagestempel nog twee keer afgedrukt op stevig papier, de grootste klaproos er telkens uitgeknipt. De linker bloem kleefde ik met lijm op de onderlaag, voor de rechtse gebruikte ik 3D foam. Alleen de harten van de bloemen gekleurd.

I stamped the collage stamp and text with Archival Ink 'Jet Black'. Stamped the collage stamp twice on stamping paper and cut out the largest poppy from each print. I attached the left flower with regular glue and the right one with foam tape. I colored the centre of the poppies with Distress Ink 'Twisted Citron'.

Kruissteken gemaakt met groen borduurgaren. De oranje stippen maakte ik met verf en een needle tip applicator.

I made cross-stitches with green embroidery floss. The orange dots were made with paint and a needle tip applicator.
