Darkroom Door recently released new stamps and stencils. I made a spread in my large Dylusions journal using the new Artist Brushes stamp set. I started by applying light modeling paste through the large Circles stencil.

The size of this large stencil is A4, perfect for this journal.

Darkroom Door bracht onlangs weer nieuwe stempels en stencils uit. Ik maakte deze spread in mijn groot Dylusions Journal met de nieuwe Artist Brushes stempelset. Ik begon met het aanbrengen van lichtgewicht structuurpasta doorheen de grote 'Circles' stencil.

Het formaat van de stencil is A4, ideaal dus voor dit grote journal.

First I colored the circles with lime paint. Next I applied a mixture of cobalt teal paint and glazing liquid to both pages. After a few minutes I removed most of the glaze layer using baby wipes. I repeated this step with raw umber paint. Love how the glaze gets into all the nooks and crannies and highlights the texture.

De cirkels gekleurd met lime verf en daarna een mengsel aangebracht van turquoise verf en glazing liquid. Het meeste van deze laag weer weggeveegd met babydoekjes. Dezelfde stap herhaald met bruine verf. De verf blijft achter in de dieper gelegen delen. Leuk hoe deze techniek de structuur accentueert.

I stamped text to the edges using Distress Oxides Broken China and Cracked Pistachio.

De randen bestempeld met tekst uit de nieuwe set. Voor het stempelen gebruikte ik Distress Oxides.

I stamped the jars on gesso-ed book text and cut out. I colored the small ones with diluted paint and did some stamping on the big one.

De bokaaltjes afgedrukt op boektekst en uitgeknipt. De kleine bokaaltjes kleurde ik met verdunde verf en op de grote stempelde ik tekst.

I stamped a collection of brushes from the set on white paper and cut out. I colored the handles with Distress Ink and the bristles with paint.

Een collectie van verfborstels uit de set gestempeld. De borstels gekleurd met Distress Inkt en de haren met verf.

To decorate the mini jars I've made tags using stamps from the Alphabet Medley set.

Voor de 'verfpotjes' labeltjes gemaakt met stempels uit de Alphabet Medley set.

I finished the spread off with some flowers.

Als laatste nog een aantal bloemen opgeplakt.

Classic Cars

A birthday card for a man born in the fifties :)

I started by painting stripes on the background, added white circles by sponging through a stencil.

To finish the card off I adhered strips of washi tape to the bottom.

Een kaartje gemaakt voor een jarige man, geboren in the 50's :)

Eerst stroken geverfd, daarna witte verf aangebracht doorheen een stencil.

Onderaan reepjes tape geplakt.

Hearts

Two quick and easy Valentine cards today.

Twee heel eenvoudige Valentijnskaartjes gemaakt vandaag.

I've deliberately avoided the typical red and white colors :)

Mezelf opgelegd om een keer niet het typische rood en wit te gebruiken :)

I've punched hearts...

Coffee

To create the background of this card I used paint, a stencil, washi tape and enamel accents. I stamped the Circles Background Stamp using purple paint and overstamped that print with the coffee cup. For the saucer I used a gelli plate print.

Voor de achtergrond van deze kaart verf, een stencil, washi tape en enamel accents gebruikt. Het kopje stempelde ik op papier waar ik eerst de Circles achtergrondstempel op afdrukte. Voor het schoteltje een gelli plate print gebruikt.
