Checkerboard Stencil #6 & an Overview

Hier de laatste variatie die ik maakte met de Checkerboard stencil.

Eerst een collage gemaakt van reepjes geverfd tissue papier. Daar overheen gestempeld en tenslotte nog wat accenten aangebracht met een witte pen.

This is the final card I made using the Checkerboard stencil.

First I made a collage with strips of painted tissue paper. I overstamped that background  and added accents with a white pen.

De hokjesstencil gebruikte ik als malletje voor de kruisjessteken, heel handig!

I used the Checkerboard stencil to mark the insertion points for the cross-stitches, super easy!

Making Marks

Ik maakte een Art Journal spread met stempels van Kim Dellow.

I did an Art Journal spread with Kim Dellow stamps.

Ik stempelde in natte Grunge Paste en kraste er ook strepen in met een houten stokje. 

I stamped into wet grunge paste and made marks with a skewer.

Ook verfmarkers gebruikt, grote en kleine.

I used paint markers as well, big and small ones.

Cherries

Een 10 x 10 kaartje gemaakt, een leuk formaat om op te werken. 

De achtergrond stempelde ik met Distress Stains en de kersen kleurde ik in met Distress Inkt en een waterpenseel. 

I made a 4 x 4" card, love that card size. 

I stamped the background with Distress Stains and colored the cherries with Distress Ink using a water brush.

Eén van mijn nieuwe cirkelstansen met kruisjes gebruikt.

De witte embossing op de letters kwam niet zo goed uit op de achtergrond, er nog eens overheen gestempeld met zwarte inkt.

I used one of my new cross-stitched circle dies. After heat embossing the text with white embossing powder I noticed it disappeared in the noisy background. That's why I overstamped it with black ink.

Inspiration Wednesday 2016 #12

Weer een Inspiration Wednesday lesje ingehaald, ik sta er nog een aantal achter...

Een strook over het midden geverfd met zwarte gesso. Ook de kleine tussenpagina's met zwarte gesso bewerkt. De rest van de spread verfde ik met witte tinten. Voor de blauwe accenten gebruikte ik neocolors.

I made another spread in my Inspiration Wednesday journal. Still a lot of catching up to do...

I painted a stripe across the middle with black gesso, painted the inclusion with black gesso as well. I colored the rest of the spread with shades of white paint. Added accents with blue neocolors. 

Daarna een bloemenstencil boven gehaald.

I created the flower using a stencil and black gesso.

De tekst deed ik met lichtgewicht structuurpasta.

I did the text with light modeling paste.

Afgewerkt met rood stencilwerk en een Ikea label.

I added a few red accents and an tag by Ikea.

Twee stukjes schilderstape opgeplakt en daar overheen gestempeld met rode verf.

I stamped the quote on painters tape using red paint.
