Flower Pots

Een bloemenkaartje vandaag.

I have some flowers for you today.

Benodigdheden: een stempel van een bloempot, 15 cirkeltjes (geponst uit restjes ecoline papier), kopspelden en bloemenlint.

Supplies: flower pot stamp, 15 punched circles (I used scraps of paper, colored with ecoline), pins an flower ribbon.

Voor de achtergrond eerst een laag gesso gesmeerd en daar de raster stempel in afgedrukt. Na droging gesprayed met Glimmer Mist.

For the background I covered the paper with gesso first. Stamped with the grid stamp into the gesso. After drying I colored the surface with Glimmer Mist.

De bloemetjes losgeknipt van het lint en één voor één op een cirkeltje geprikt dmv een kopspeld. Rond de speld eerst een stukje naaigaren geknoopt.

I cut flowers from the ribbon and pinned them one by one on the green circles.  Knotted a piece of sewing yarn around the pins first.

De bloempotten met StazOn afgedrukt op tekstpapier dat eerst een laagje gesso kreeg. Ze daarna verhoogd opgeplakt.

Stamped the flower pots with StazOn on gesso-ed text paper. Used 3D foam to attach them.

Cards and Tins 10

Deze week koos ik een blikken doosje met strandthema voor mijn 'Cards and Tins' reeks.

This week I've chosen a tin with a summery image on top for my 'Cards and Tins' series.

De daken van de strandhuisjes deden me aan chevrons denken. Verder zie ik nog strepen, veel tinten blauw en een paar rode accenten.

The roofs of the beach cabins remind me of chevrons. I see  stripes, several shades of blue and a few red accents as well.

De chevrons gesponsd met verschillende kleuren Distress Inkt en een mask van Studio Calico. Dit was niet groot genoeg voor een 15 x 15 kaart, dus het kleurstrookje bracht uitkomst.

I sponged the chevrons with Distress Ink and a Studio Calico Mask. The mask wasn't big enough to cover a 6 x 6 card, that's why I added the paint chip. 

De stempel afgedrukt met Distress Inkt 'Iced Spruce'. De afdruk verder ingekleurd met Distress Inkt en Markers. 

I stamped the beach cabins with Distress Ink 'Iced Spruce'. Did the coloring with Distress Ink and Markers.

2 splitpennen (Tilda) doen hier dienst als windmolentje.

2 brads (Tilda) used as pinwheels here.

Week 4 van Christy Tomlinson's workshop 'Your Living Canvas' gaat over omgaan met tijd. Veel klokken dus op deze pagina's :)

Week 4 of the online class 'Your Living Canvas' by Christy Tomlinson is all about time management. No wonder there are a lot of clocks on my spread today :)

De grote klokken op de achtergrond zijn gemaakt met een mask van Tim Holtz. 

The big clocks on the background were made with a Tim Holtz mask.

Deze klok is een plaatje dat al eeuwen in mijn voorraad zat. Ze kreeg een laagje rode en witte verf om niet uit de toon te vallen hier :)

This clock is an image that was in my stash for ages. I customized it with red and white paint.

De klokken gestempeld op de achtergrond, deze nog een keer gestempeld op wit papier en dan verhoogd opgeplakt.

I stamped the wonky clocks twice, once on the background and once on white paper. Attached the upper clocks with 3D foam.

Op de achtergrond gestempeld met StazOn 'Cherry Pink' en wat bolletjes gemaakt met sequin waste en Distress Inkt 'Stormy Sky'. 

The stamping on the background is done with StazOn 'Cherry Pink'. I added some dots, made with sequin waste and Distress Ink 'Stormy Sky'.

Nog wat tape en een knoop om het af te maken.

Weer een washi tape ideetje vandaag. Met tape heb je echt snel een kaartje klaar. Ideaal voor de zomer dus! Voor dit kaartje heb ik een spiraalbloem met 3 soorten tape omwikkeld. Ik maakte de bloem met een stans van Marianne Design maar je kan ook zelf een spiraalbloem knippen.

Een lesje washi tape bloemen maken vond ik hier.

Another tape idea today. Cards made with washi tape don't take a lot of time so tape is the perfect material for a summery card! I covered a spiral flower with 3 different colors of washi tape. I made the flower with one of the Marianne Design Creatables but you can perfectly make a spiral flower with your scissors.
