Easy to make

Vandaag twee kaartjes gemaakt die in een handomdraai klaar waren.

Two "easy to make" cards today.

Het linker deel van deze kaart is een stukje tape. De stempel is ingekleurd met potloden. Ik vond niet diect een passend kleur papier om het kaartje op te matten, dus heb ik de alcoholinkt bovengehaald en een stukje papier gekleurd in bijpassende tinten.

The left part is a piece of tape. I colored the stamp with pencils. Couldn't find a piece of matching cardstock, so I painted a piece of paper with Adirondack alcohol ink.

Het idee voor dit kaartje haalde ik uit een oud "Pipoos magazine".

For this card, I was inspired by an article in an old issue of "Pipoos magazine".

Deze week heb ik niet veel vrije tijd, vandaar dat ik hier een boekje post dat ik al een tijdje geleden maakte.

Ik gaf het boekje cadeau aan een bijzonder iemand.

Mail from New York

Vorige maand nam ik deel aan de paperswap bij "Woven Letters" (zie deze post).
Vandaag ontving ik een pakje uit New York met daarin de boekjes die ik van mijn swap partner Judith kreeg.

Last month, I joined the paperswap of La Wendula from "Woven Letters" (see this post).

Today, I received a parcel from New York. In there were the booklets my swap partner Judith sent me.

Ik kreeg 6 boekjes toegestuurd.

Het bruine boekje heeft een geborduurd kaftje en de 2 bovenste zijn luciferboekjes gemaakt van kaartjes met verfstalen.

My swap partner sent me 6 booklets.

The brown book is decorated with embroidery and the 2 booklets on top are matchbook notepads made of paint-chip samples.

Concertina booklet

Terug in het land. We zullen Louise jammer genoeg weer voor een tijdje moeten missen.

Voor wie geïnteresseerd is hoe je het Concertina boekje uit vorige blogpost precies maakt, volgt hier een korte beschrijving.

For those who are interested in how to make the Concertina booklet from my previous blogpost, I made a short tutorial.

Benodigdheden: strook stevig papier of licht karton van 74 x 12,5 cm, touwtje van 1 meter lang.

Het boekje meet dicht 12,5 X 8 cm. Het papier is in een zigzag patroon geplooid. Er is een vouw gemaakt elke 8 cm, te beginnen vanuit het midden. De zijkanten zijn aan beide uiteinden 5 cm naar binnen omgeplooid (zie foto 1). In de 2 buitenste vouwen en deze er net naast is een gaatje geprikt in het midden van de vouw. Daar is een touwtje door geschoven naar achteren toe (zie foto 2). Daarna zijn de buitenste omslagen vastgeplakt, behalve in het midden. Daar moet een tunneltje blijven waar het touwtje door kan schuiven.

Supplies: a piece of firm paper or cardboard: 74 x 12,5 cm, 1 m ribbon.

The booklet measures 12,5 x 8 cm (closed). It consists of accordion folded cardboard. Start with the first crease in the middle of the paper and make creases every 8 cm. I folded the edges 5 cm inwards on both sides (see first picture). I made a hole in the middle of the outside creases and in the one's beside and put a ribbon through them (see second picture).

Then I stuck the edges, except in the middle, the ribbon should still be able to move.
