Voor deze Art Journal pagina's de achtergrond gekleurd met Distress Stains.

For these Art Journal pages I colored the background with Distress Stains.

Daarna gestempeld met deze verweerde 'swirl stempel' van La Blanche.

After coloring I did some stamping on the background with a weathered swirl stamp by La Blanche.

De cijfers komen uit de Grunge set van Art Journey.

The numbers are from the Grunge set by Art Journey.

De witte bloemen en de blaadjes zijn gemaakt van structuurpasta.

The white petals and the leaves are made of molding paste.

De hartjes gemaakt met acrylverf en een sjabloon, ze daarna bestempeld. Het boordje onderaan is een Rub on van Kaisercraft. De randen van de pagina's zijn bestempeld met een zelfgemaakt stempeltje.

I made the hearts with a template and acrylic paint.  Added a Rub on at the bottom of the page. At the edges of the page I did some stamping with a home made stamp.

Heel veel laagjes ecoline en gesso gesmeerd vooraleer deze achtergrond naar mijn zin was! Een hele dag met blauwe vingers rondgelopen daarna, ecoline is nogal hardnekkig:)

Used layers and layers of ecoline and gesso to make the background of this tag. Blue fingers were the result. Hard to wash away, ecoline :)

De rozen ingekleurd met Derwent potloden en geurloze terpentine.

Colored the roses with Derwent pencils and low odeur solvent.

Een reep 'bouwgaas' over de tag gelegd. Gaas ingesmeerd met gel medium en het daarna weggehaald. Een mooie structuur is het resultaat. Gedroogd en weer met ecoline bewerkt. Een voorraadje oude houten parels teruggevonden tussen mijn rommel :)

Used some netting as a mask, put a layer of gel medium on the netting. A nice structure is the result. Added more ecoline on top after drying.

Discoverd a bunch of old wooden beads between my supplies :)

Tussen het geklieder voor mijn Art Journal door even tijd gemaakt voor dit kaartje. Kraftpapier bestempeld met witte stempelinkt en geplakt op een achtergrond van Glimmer Mist.

In between working on my Art Journal I took some time to make this card, less messy that's for sure :) I stamped with white ink on a piece of craft cardstock and glued it on a Glimmer Mist background.

Hart geëmbossed en bewerkt met Distress Inkt #Walnut Stain.

I heat embossed the heart and put some Distress Ink #Walnut Stain on top.

De bloem gemaakt van cirkeltjes die ik uit een stempelafdruk ponste.

The flower is made out of circles, used some stamped paper to cut out the scalloped circles.

 

Het reepje kant naaide ik met een linnen draadje vast op een stukje beige stof. 

I sewed the lace on a piece of fabric with a linen thread.

Gevonden op de rommelmarkt en al direct gebruikt bij deze kaart :)

Altijd leuk om de verschillende mogelijkheden van 1 stempel uit te testen. Hier gebruikte ik dezelfde stempel als in deze post, maar nu in combinatie met Distress inkt in plaats van papier.

It's always fun to do some testing on the different possibilities of one stamp. Here I used the same stamp as in this post but in combination with Distress ink instead of paper.

De achtergrond is gemaakt volgens een techniekje uit "A Compendium Of Curiosities" van Tim Holtz. Op een achtergrond van Distress inkt heb ik een swirl gestempeld met water. Het water reageert met de inkt en je krijgt het effect van stempelen met bleek. Ik heb de stempel eerst beïnkt met Versamark en er dan water op verneveld, zo blijft het water iets beter "kleven".

To make the background I used a technique by Tim Holtz, illustrated in "A Compendium Of Curiosities". I inked the background with Distress Ink and stamped the swirl with water. Distress is reactive with water, the image fades as if you've stamped in bleach. I applied Versamark to the stamp before misting with water. This helps the water stick to the stamp image.

De gekleurde inktkussens in de doos gelaten deze keer. Ik wilde een kaartje maken in bruine tinten, een kleur waar ik meestal niet zo vlug naar grijp. Het chocolade thema past hier wel bij vind ik :)

Het  meisje is een freebie van Elizabeth van the last door...down the hall. 

I left the colored inkpads in the box this time. I wanted to make a card in brown colors, not an obvious choise for me. I think the chocolate theme  fits well here :)
