Hier een kaart van 15 x 15 cm gevuld met de nieuwe Block Print stempel van Art Journey.

Dit kaartje doet mee aan challenge #155 van Dutch Card Lovers.

Thema: gebruik knopen op je kaart, minimaal 5.

For this 6 x 6" card I stamped the new Block Print stamp by Art Journey a few times.

This card is my entry for challenge #155 by Dutch Card Lovers

Theme: use buttons on your card, at least 5. 

Het boompje is gemaakt met repen katoen. Ik toonde vorig jaar al een keer hoe ik zo'n boompjes maak.

Embossing en Distress Inkt.

Heat embossing and Distress Ink.

Dit rondje gemaakt met een cirkelsnijder. Bewerkt met Crackle Paint 'Picket Fence' en na droging de scheurtjes wat aangezet met Distress Inkt 'Broken China'.

Made the circle with the help of my good old circle cutter. Put Crackle Paint 'Picket Fence' on top. After drying I distressed the 'cracks' with 'Broken China' Distress Ink. 

De tekststempel lichtjes in gebogen vorm gehouden tijdens het afdrukken.

Held the stamp slightly in a circular shape while stamping.

'Sneeuwpop' is het thema bij de ' Each Card is Unique Challenge' van de maand december. Dit label is mijn bijdrage.

Once again I used Tim Holtz techniques for this tag.

12 Tags of Christmas...Tag 4

The theme of the month December at the 'Each Card is Unique Challenge' is 'snowman'. This tag is my entry.

Hekje gesneden uit een reepje acetaat en bewerkt met witte acrylverf.

Die cut the fence out of acetate. Added some white acrylic paint.

Drie cirkels dienen als sneeuwpop. De cirkels gesneden uit grungepaper. Ze eerst een laagje witte acrylverf gegeven, daarna bewerkt met een dikke laag Distress Crackle Paint # Rock Candy en tenslotte gekleurd met Distress Stains.

Three circles make one snowman. Cut the circles out of grungepaper. Colored them with white acrylic paint first. Then covered them with a thick layer of Distress Crackle Paint #Rock Candy. Colored the surface with Distress Stains after drying.

Ook de achtergrond is gekleurd met Distress Stains: blauwe tinten gecombineerd met het witte Picket Fence.

The background is colored with blue shades of Distress Stains in combination with the white Picket Fence.

Tekst achter de hartjes geplaatst en een laagje Glossy Accents  aangebracht in de hartjes.

Glued some text paper behind the hearts and put some Glossy Accents on top.

Christmas Wreath

Houten sneeuwvlokken wit geverfd met crackle paint en gesso en in de vorm van een kransje op mintgroen papier gekleefd. Tekststempel in het midden afgedrukt.

I put some crackle paint and gesso on wooden snowflakes. Adhered them to mint green paper. Stamped the sentiment in the middle of the wreath.

Mijn nieuwe Tim Holtz stans uitgeprobeerd vandaag en er deze canvas mee gemaakt. Het is mijn inzending voor de eerste uitdaging bij ARTSpecially Friends. Nog net op de valreep gemaakt, de uitdaging verloopt in minder dan een uur :) De stempelset van het ARTSpecially event 2011 gebruikt voor deze challenge.  

Tried my new Tim Holtz die today and used it on this canvas. It's my entry for the first challenge at the ARTSpecially Friends blog. I entered it just in time, link expiration is within an hour :) I used the stamp sheet of the ARTSpecially event 2011 for this challenge. 

 Ik las een inspirerend artikel in Somerset Studio over achtergronden opbouwen van de hand van Jill Geraghty-Groves. Geprobeerd om deze techniek hier toe te passsen. Voor de achtergrond zijn achtereenvolgens gebruikt: stempels, bloemen, knopen, gel medium, acrylverf, crackle paint en alcohol inkt. Het betreft heel wat laagjes die allemaal moeten drogen tussenin. Niet zo handig wanneer de tijd loopt :) 

I read an inspiring article in Somerset Studio on building backgrounds by Jill Geraghty-Groves. Followed this technique for my canvas. I used stamps, flowers, buttons, gel medium, acrylic paint, crackle paint and alcohol ink for the background. It involved a lot of layers, a bit of a problem if time is running :)

Het witte roosjeslint (Tim Holtz Trimmings) is gekleurd met Distress Stain #Dried Marigold.

I colored the white roses (Tim Holtz Trimmings) with Distress Stain #Dried Marigold 

Sticky-back canvas gecombineerd met een pagina uit een oud boek voor de paspop.

Used sticky-back canvas in combination with a page out of an old book for the die cut.

De strepenstempel is geëmbossed met Distress embossing poeder #Peeded Paint, de houten bloem is bewerkt met Distress Crackle Paint in dezelfde kleur.

The stripes are heat embossed with Distress embossing powder #Peeled Paint, the wooden flower is painted with Distress Crackle Paint in the same color.

Bij dit kaartje heb ik de foto getransfereerd met gel medium.

De groene laag is geverfd met Distress Crackle Paint #Peeled Paint.

De strepen zijn hier bewerkt met Distress embossing poeder #Fired Brick

Here I transfered the photo with gel medium.

The green layer is painted with Distress Crackle Paint #Peeled Paint.

The stripes are heat embossed with Distress embossing powder #Fired Brick.

Ik gebruikte labels voor de blaadjes, ze zijn ook geëmbossed.

I used labels as leaves, they are heat embossed as well.
