Distress Stains

For the 31productschallenge on Instagram I've chosen to work with Distress Stains today. I inked up a large background stamp with the stains and stamped on watercolor paper.

Voor de 31productschallenge op Intstagram koos ik vandaag Distress Stains om mee te werken. Een grote achtergrondstempel beïnkt met de stains en gestempeld op aquarelpapier.

These are the colors I worked with.

Deze kleuren gebruikt.

I added black stamping on top and finished the card off by adhering torn strips of washi tape.

Afgewerkt met zwart stempelwerk en gescheurde strookjes washi tape opgeplakt.

De gewolkte achtergrond maakte ik door Distress Stains Tumbled Glass , Picket Fence en water te mengen op een craft sheet. Kaarten gesneden uit aquarelpapier en deze in die 'plas' gelegd.

For the background I mixed Distress Stains Tumbled Glass and Picket Fence with water on a craft sheet. I put cards of watercolor paper into that puddle.

Stempels uit verschillende sets gecombineerd.

I combined stamps from different sets.

In vond het bruine van het rendier wat te hard. Bijgekleurd met een wit kleurpotlood.

To achieve a softer tone I coloured the reindeer with a white pencil after stamping. 

De randjes bewerkt met de paper distresser en Distress Inkt om de vintage look te versterken.

 I distressed the edges with a paper distresser and Distress Ink, love that vintage look.

Alleen een paar enamel dots toegevoegd, voor de rest zijn het eenlaagskaartjes.

Except for the enamel dots these are one layer cards.

Gestempeld met rood, blauw en bruin.

I did the stamping in red, blue and brown.

More Christmas Cards

Ik heb veel kerststempels en toch vind ik het leuk om kaartjes te maken met andere dan kerststempels.

  I love making Holiday cards with non Christmas Stamps.

Voor deze kaart een resist techniek gebruikt. Eerst de stippen gestempeld met witte acrylverf en daarna de achtergrond gekleurd met Distress Stains.

I used a resist technique on this card. I stamped the dots with white acrylic paint and coloured the background with Distress Stains.

De huisjes met witte verf gestempeld op papier dat ik eerst kleurde met Distress Stain Thumbled Glass. Ramen en deuren bijgekleurd met Distress Inkt Picked Raspberry en een waterpenseel. Voor de boom een driehoek geknipt en op dezelfde manier gekleurd.

I first coloured some paper with Distress Stain Thumbled Glass. Stamped the houses on top of it with white paint. Used a water brush and some Distress Ink Picked Raspberry to colour the windows and doors. For the tree I cut a triangle and coloured it the same way as the houses.

Deze achtergrond eerst gekleurd met Distress Stains en daarna de 'Polka Dots' stempel afgedrukt met witte acrylverf.

For this card I overstamped the Distress Stains background with the 'Polka Dots' stamp and white acrylic paint.

I made this set of cards as a sample for the current challenge.

Ik maakte deze 3 kaartjes als voorbeeld voor de uitdaging.

I inked up the background stamps with Distress Stains.

De achtergrondstempels beïnkt met Distress Stains.

I decided to add simple white flowers. Less is more isn't it :)

Gekozen voor simpele witte bloemen, soms is minder gewoon meer :)

Used Clearly Besotted word dies.

Woordstansen van Clearly Besotted gebruikt.

Love the watercolour look of the Stains.

De Stains zorgen voor een mooie watercolour look.

I glued six circles on top of each other for each flower.

De bloemen bestaan uit zes op elkaar geplakte cirkels.

Stamping with Embossing Folders

Een hele leuke techniek uitgeprobeerd:

Distress Paints gesmeerd op 1 kant van een embossing mal. Daar water op verneveld en er een kaart ingelegd. Super simpel!

I tried a fun technique today:

I smeared some Distress Paints on one side of an embossing folder. Sprayed some water on top and used this as a stamp. A super easy technique!

Voor deze achtergrond 3 kleuren Distress Paint gebruikt: Ripe Persimmon, Picked Raspberry, Victorian Velvet.

On this card I used Distress Paint Ripe Persimmon, Picked Raspberry and Victorian Velvet.

Door aquarelpapier te gebruiken krijg je een mooie 'watercolor look'.

Love the watercolor look!

Bloemen en tekst met zwart gestempeld. Stelen getekend met een zwarte pen.

Stamped the flowers and text with black ink. Drew the stems with a black pen.

Bij deze kaart een embossingmal van Tim Holtz gecombineerd met Distress Paint Salty Ocean, Mowed Lawn en Broken China.

For this card I used an embossing folder by Tim Holtz and Distress Paint Salty Ocean, Mowed Lawn and Broken China.

As I'm part of the Craft Stamper design team now I made a sample for the current challenge.

Omdat ik sinds kort lid ben van het Craft Stamper design team maakte ik onderstaand label als voorbeeld voor de uitdaging.

Colored the background with Distress Stains.

Stamped the geranium with Archival ink 'Jet Black' and colored the petals with pencils.

De achtergrond gekleurd met Distress Stains.

De geranium gestempeld met Archival inkt 'Jet Black' en de blaadjes gekleurd met potloden.

Added some text stamping and a charm.

Hier en daar wat tekst gestempeld en ook een 'charm' opgeplakt in de vorm van een blaadje.
