Last week I made two Sympathy Cards.

Afgelopen week deze labels gemaakt.

I started by inking up two different stencils using shades of pink and orange Distress Ink. After spraying water on top of the ink I made prints on ready made white tags. 

The outcome of this 'stamping with stencils' technique is always surprising. 

I colored the ribbon for the tag toppers with the same ink I used on the backgrounds.

Twee verschillende stencils beïnkt met Distress Inkt in roze en oranje tinten. Water verneveld over de inkt en afdrukken gemaakt op kant en klare witte labels. 

De uitkomst van deze 'stempelen met stencils' techniek is altijd verrassend.

Het lint voor de 'tag toppers' werd gekleurd met dezelfde kleuren inkt als deze die ik gebruikte voor de achtergronden.

The flowers were stamped on watercolor paper and painted with watercolor paint.

De bloemen gestempeld op aquarelpapier en ingekleurd met aquarelverf.

Last week I made 2 Sympathy Cards using Penny Black stamps.

Afgelopen week maakte ik 2 sterkte kaarten met Penny Black stempels.

I worked on watercolor paper and used Distress Ink to do the stamping. 

Ik werkte op aquarelpapier en om te stempelen gebruikte ik Distress Inkt. 

 I've chosen shades of green and turquoise colors.

Ik koos voor tinten groene en turquoise inkt.

For today's Sympathy Card I used a gel print on which I stamped a flower and a sentiment with black ink. I drew a stem with a black fineliner and finished the card off by adhering a button and 2 pieces of leftover wax thread.

Voor deze sterkte kaart een bloem en tekst gestempeld op een gel print met zwarte inkt. Met een fineliner een steel getekend en de kaart afgewerkt met een knoop en 2 restjes wax koord.

For this Sympathy Card I took a gel print from my stash.

I stamped a flower and a wish on top of the gel print and decorated the card with a piece of ribbon and 5 matching buttons.

Voor deze sterkte kaart koos ik opnieuw een gel print uit mijn voorraad.

Ik stempelde er een bloem en een tekst bovenop. De kaart afgewerkt met een lintje en 5 bijpassende knoopjes.

I'm sharing two clean and simple cards today.

For the backgrounds I picked 2 gel prints from my stash. Before pulling the prints I made a pattern into the wet paint using burlap, hence the grid pattern.

I looked for matching images through the 'Collage Sheets - Botanical Notes' set by Darkroom Door. I stamped on top of the photos with Archival Ink 'Jet Black'. I adhered the photos on the backgrounds and drew dotted frames with a black fineliner.

Twee simpele kaartjes vandaag.

Voor de achtergronden koos ik 2 mooie gel prints uit mijn voorraad. Vooraleer de afdrukken te maken drukte ik een stuk jute stof in de nog natte verf, vandaar het rasterpatroon. 

Bijpassende afbeeldingen gezocht in de 'Collage Sheets - Botanical Notes' set van Darkroom Door. Over de foto's heen gestempeld met Archival Inkt 'Jet Black'. De foto's op de gel prints geplakt en randjes getekend met een zwart pennetje.

Darkroom Door also released new Collage Sheets this week. On the 3 cards I'm sharing today I used some of the largest images from the 'Botanical Notes' set. 

Naast stencils bracht Darkroom Door ook 'Collage Sheets' uit deze week. Voor de 3 kaarten van vandaag gebruikte ik enkele van de grootste afbeeldingen uit de 'Botanical Notes' set. 

For the first two cards I've chosen this beautiful flower print. Due to the soft colors it's perfectly possible to stamp a quote on top. 

Ik koos deze mooie bloemenafbeelding om er de twee eerste kaartjes mee te maken. De zachte kleuren laten het toe om er een quote overheen te stempelen. 

I adhered the image to a top fold white card and wrapped some pink thread with a few beads around the card.

Alles op een dubbele witte kaart geplakt en om af te werken een roze touwtje met kralen rond de kaart gewikkeld.

For this Sympathy Card I've chosen another image from the 'Botanical Notes' set.

For the backgrounds of today's Sympathy Cards I again worked with gel prints I made during the "BrigitKoopsenGelPrintingChallenge" on Instagram.

I used 2 different Abstract Stamps by Darkroom Door to stamp the borders to the left side of the cards.

Voor de achtergronden van de sterkte kaartjes van vandaag werkte ik opnieuw met gel prints die ik maakte tijdens de "BrigitKoopsenGelPrintingChallenge" op Instagram.

Om de randen aan de linkerkant van de kaarten te stempelen gebruikte ik twee verschillende 'Abstract Stamps' van Darkroom Door. 

After stamping the flowers and text I looked for matching buttons in my stash.

Na het stempelen van de bloemen en de tekst zocht ik naar bijpassende knoopjes in mijn voorraad.

To finish the cards off I wrapped two strings of waxed thread around the cards.

Om af te werken twee verschillende kleuren wax koord rond de kaarten geknoopt.

I again made 2 Sympathy Cards using stamps by Darkroom Door.

Met stempels van Darkroom Door maakte ik opnieuw 2 sterkte kaarten.

For the backgrounds I've chosen a few prints from my huge collection of gel prints.

De achtergronden koos ik uit mijn grote collectie gel prints.

Bold flower prints work best on these colorful backgrounds.

Bloemenprints met wat 'body' komen het beste uit tegen de kleurige achtergronden.

For this quick and easy Sympathy Card I used a gel print I made last month for the 'BirgitKoopsenGelprintingChallenge' on Instagram.

I drew on the print with a white marker and made a frame with a black fineliner. To finish the card off I stamped a wish in the bottom right corner. 

Voor dit eenvoudige sterkte kaartje gebruikte ik een gel print die ik vorige maand maakte voor de 'BirgitKoopsenGelprintingChallenge' op Instagram.

Op de print getekend met een witte marker en een randje aangebracht met een zwarte pen. Tenslotte nog een wens gestempeld in de rechter benedenhoek.

This month I'm joining the BirgitKoopsenGelPrintingChallenge on Instagram.

I already made a bunch of prints, card size. I've chosen 2 of those prints to make today's Sympathy Cards.

This print was done with Alcohol Ink for the topic 'Bottle Caps'.

Deze maand doe ik mee met de BirgitKoopsenGelPrintingChallenge op Instagram.

Ik maakte al een heleboel prints op  kaartformaat. Twee van deze prints vandaag gebruikt om twee sterkte kaartjes te maken. 

Deze print maakte ik met alcohol inkt voor het thema 'Bottle Caps'. 

The print I used on this card was done with acrylic paint for the topic 'Comb'.

I overstamped each print with a quote stamp by Darkroom Door, I drew a frame with a black fineliner and added a few enamel dots.

De print die ik voor dit kaartje gebruikte maakte ik met acrylverf voor het thema 'Comb'.

Over de prints een quote van Darkroom Door gestempeld, een randje getekend met een zwarte fineliner en enkele plakparels opgekleefd.

I applied stripes of red, pink and orange paint to my gel printing plate and pulled a print. The flower and quote were stamped straight onto the gel print. I stamped a small label, cut it out and looked for a text stamp that would fit into the label. I made a bow from 2 pieces of cord and attached the label to it. 

I finished the card off by adding 3 matching buttons.

Strepen rode, roze en oranje verf aangebracht op de gel printing plate en een print gemaakt. De bloem en de tekst rechtstreeks op de gel print gestempeld.

Een labeltje gestempeld, uitgeknipt en gezocht naar een tekst stempel die paste in het label. Een strik gemaakt met 2 kleuren koord en daar het label aan bevestigd. De kaart afgewerkt met 3 bijpassende knopen.

On this Sympathy Card I combined the new 'Quote Stamp - Light Remains' with the Fine Leaves. I did the stamping with Archival Ink 'Jet Black' and colored the leaves with watercolor paint. I used 3 types of painted ribbon in 3 different colors to make a tab and finished the card off by making splatters.

Op deze sterkte kaart de nieuwe 'Quote Stamp - Light Remains' van Darkroom Door gecombineerd met de Fine Leaves. Alles gestempeld met Archival Inkt 'Jet Black' en de blaadjes ingekleurd met aquarelverf.

De kaart afgewerkt met spatten en een tabje gemaakt met 3 soorten geverfd lint in 3 verschillende kleuren.

Today I'm sharing a tag I created for Darkroom Door featuring the new 'Quote Stamp - Light Remains'. 

Dit label gemaakt voor Darkroom Door met de nieuwe 'Quote Stamp - Light Remains'. 

I did the stamping with Versamark ink and heat embossed the text with gold embossing powder. I applied Versamark ink straight from the inkpad to the edges of the tag and heat embossed the edges as well. 

Gestempeld met Versamark inkt en de tekst bewerkt met gouden embossing poeder. Het Versamark inktkussen over de rand van het label 'gesleept' en dat randje ook bewerkt met hetzelfde embossingpoeder.

I decorated the tag with a piece of flower ribbon.

Het label onderaan versierd met bloemenlint.

The tag topper was attached using gold thread and I made splatters on the tag with watercolor paint. 

De  'tag topper' vastgemaakt met goudkleurige draad en spatten gemaakt op het label met aquarelverf.

Today I'm sharing a set of quick and easy Sympathy Cards.

Hier een set simpele sterkte kaartjes. 

I inked up the leaves using Distress Oxide Inks.

De blaadjes werden gestempeld met Distress Oxide Inkt.

I overstamped the prints off centre with a matching stamp from the Altenew 'Leaf Canopy' stamp set using black Archival Ink.

De afdrukken iets naast de lijnen overstempeld met een bijpassende stempel uit de Altenew 'Leaf Canopy' stempelset en zwarte Archival inkt.

I made a card with these flowers before

I colored the flowers with Distress Ink Salvaged Patina and adhered the flowers to a gel print. Same flower but a totally different card due to the different background.

Ik kleurde ze in met met Distress Inkt Salvaged Patina en plakte ze deze keer op een gel print. Door een andere achtergrond te gebruiken krijg je met dezefde bloemen toch een totaal andere kaart.

During the month of May I took part in the Birgit Koopsen gel printing challenge on Instagram.

I made tag books with the prints, I'll share these books later this week.

On today's card I used a leftover gel print.

In mei deed ik op Instagram mee met de gel printing challenge van Birgit Koopsen. 

Ik maakte labelboekjes met de prints, die toon ik later deze week.

Voor de kaart van vandaag gebruikte ik een print die ik over had.

I overstamped the gel print with the same stamp as I used on the gel print.

I colored the leaves using a ZIG brush marker.

Op de voorgrond dezelfde stempel gebruikt als deze die ik op de gel print gebruikte.

De blaadjes ingekleurd met een ZIG brush marker.
