With Sympathy

Een snel klaar sterkte kaartje deze keer.

De achtergronstempel beïnkt met roze, oranje, groene en blauwe Distress Paints.

Daar met zwart overheen gestempeld. Toen was het al klaar.

Today I have a quick and easy sympathy card to share. 

I loaded the background stamp with orange, pink, lime and blue Distress Paints. Added black stamping on top and that's it.

Checkerboard Stencil #2

Ziehier de tweede kaart die ik maakte met de Checkerboard stencil.

 De hokjes die ik bij de vorige kaart kleurde bleven hier wit. 

This is the second card on which I used the Checkerboard stencil.

The squares I colored on the previous card remained white here.

Daarvoor 'gestempeld' met de stencil. Twee kleuren Distress Paints aangebracht op de stencil, daar water over verneveld en op een kaart afgedrukt. Voor deze techniek gebruik ik altijd aquarelpapier.

I used the 'stencil stamping' technique. I loaded the stencil with 2 colors of Distress Paints, sprayed water on top and 'stamped' on watercolor paper.

Op deze achtergrond één van de Darkroom Door Fine Flowers afgedrukt, samen met een wens. Nog een paar witte stipjes gezet om af te werken.

I overstamped the background with one of the Darkroom Door Fine Flowers and a wish. I added white dots with a Sharpie.

 Stencil My Favorite Things: Checkerboard

 Ik grijp niet zo snel naar paars maar voor deze ene keer mocht het :)

Purple is not my favorite color but for once I've made an exception :)

De ringen op de achtergrond stempelde ik met Distress Paints. Ik gebruikte een nieuwe stempel van Tim Holtz. De bloem gestempeld op een stukje papier dat ik met dezelfde Paints kleurde. 

I dit the stamping on the background with Distress Paints using a new Tim Holtz stamp. I stamped the flower on a scrap of paper that I colored with Paints too. 

Voor het hart van de bloem en de steel glaskralen gebruikt.

On the flower centre and the stem I used glass beads.

Voor dit kaartje eerst onregelmatige vegen gemaakt op kraft papier met witte acrylverf. 

 I started with making rough brush strokes on kraft paper with white acrylic paint.

In het midden de nieuwe Marbling texture stempel afgedrukt. Voor het stempelen gebruikte ik Distress Paints in de kleuren Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn en Cracked Pistachio.

I stamped the new Marbling texture stamp in the centre, did the stamping with Distress Paints Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn and Cracked Pistachio.

Een stukje papier geverfd met dezelfde groene kleuren en daar de bloem op afgedrukt, daarna uitgeknipt. Afgewerkt met een lintje, touwtje, scrappers floss en een papieren roosje.

I painted a scrap of paper with the same greens, stamped the flower on top and cut out. Finished the card off with some ribbon, cord, scrappers floss and a paper rose.

De wens gestempeld met een favoriete stempel. Komt uit de Simple Sayings set van Darkroom Door. 

I stamped the birthday wish with a stamp from the Simple Sayings set by Darkroom Door. One of my favorites!

Ik maakte weer twee eenvoudige kerstkaartjes.

Another set of clean and simple cards.

Stippen gemaakt met de dop van twee flesjes Distress Paint.

I made dots with the dabber of these bottles of Distress Paint.

Een aantal extra dots uitgeponst en opgeplakt.

I punched out some extra dots and glued them on top.

In het midden van de onderste rij begonnen en zo verder gewerkt naar boven toe. Eerst met de kleur Twisted Citron gestempeld en daar bovenop met Cracked Pistachio.

I started in the centre of the bottom row and worked my way up. I stamped with Twisted Citron first and put Cracked Pistachio on top.

Stroken afgeplakt met washi tape en geverfd met Distress Paints. 

De kaart verhoogd opgeplakt op een dubbele kaart.

I painted strips with Distress Paints, used washi tape to do the masking. 

I attached the panel to the card with 3D foam.

Dit vind ik wel een mooie kleurencombinatie.

Love this color combination.

One Layer

Een éénlaagskaartje vandaag. 

De bloemen stempelde ik met Distress Paints. Daarna alle bloemen gemaskerd en het rasterpatroon afgedrukt. Als laatste de wens gestempeld.

I have a one layer card for you today.

I stamped the flowers with Distress Paints. After drying I masked each flower and stamped the grid pattern on top. To finish off I added a birthday wish.

Een éénlaags kaartje gemaakt met Distress Paints. 

Een rechthoek afgeplakt met tape en daar de letters van het woord 'happy' ingelegd.

Na het verven tape en letters voorzichtig verwijderd.

Ik vond inspiratie op The Penny Black Blog.

I masked the edges of a rectangle with tape. Placed die cut letters in the center. Removed tape and letters after painting.

Een Distress Paints achtergrond in mijn favoriete kleuren.

A Distress Paints background in my favorite colors.

De Magenta bloem in april meegebracht van het ARTSpecially Event in Zeist. Een oudje al, maar nog altijd mooi vind ik.

An all time favorite, this Magenta flower stamp.

Een haarclipje om af te werken. Het is eens iets anders :)

Na het zien van deze mooie labels ben ik meteen aan de slag gegaan met mijn Distress Paints, sjablonen en stempels....

Eerst verschillende kleuren Paints op een craftsheet gesmeerd, wat water erover gesprayed en er een witte kaart door gehaald.

After seeing these beautiful tags I immediately digged up my Distress Paints, templates, stamps....

Colored the background with Distress Paints and water on a craftsheet.

Daarna aan de slag gegaan met sjablonen en Distress Inkt. 

Used templates and Distress Inks to make some patterns.

Takken en tekst gestempeld.

Stamped some branches and text.

De vogel is gestempeld met 2 kleuren Distress Inkt en daarna bestempeld met tekst. Met 3D tape opgeplakt.

Stamped the bird with Distress Ink and overstamped it with text. Used 3D tape to stick the bird to the card.

Vandaag twee labels gemaakt met mijn nieuwe 'Wild Geranium' stempel.

Made two tags with my new 'Wild Geranium' stamp today.

Verschillende kleuren Distress Paints op een craft sheet aangebracht. Daar water over verneveld en de labels in die kleurige plas gelegd :)

Applied several colors of Distress Paint on a craft sheet and sprayed some water on top. Put the tags in that colorful puddle :)

Tekst en poststempel zijn van Darkroom Door.

Text and post stamp are Darkroom Door stamps.

Mijn potloden geslepen want die had ik lange tijd niet gebruikt :)

Sharpened my pencils because I hadn't use them for a very long time :)

Deze bloemetjes ingekleurd met 3 tinten roze.

Colored these flowers with three shades of pink.

Helemaal dezelfde kleuren gebruikt voor de achtergrond maar hier toch een ander resultaat bekomen. Altijd verrassend, deze techniek.

This background turned out quite different than the one on the first tag. Always surprising, this technique :)

Een stukje naturelkleurig linnen lint door het gaatje van het label gestrikt.
