Christmas 2024 #12

For today's cards I used ready made colored backgrounds by Cats on Appletrees.

Voor de kaarten van vandaag gebruikte ik kant en klare gekleurde achtergronden van Cats on Appletrees.

For a festive look I applied a layer of 'Glossy Accents' to the berries. 

Voor een feestelijke toets een laagje 'Glossy Accents' aangebracht op de bessen.

The Icing on the Cake

 

For the background of this card I rumbled through my stash to find a nice gel print. 

To the left side of the card I stamped small circles using the 'Abstract Stamp - Faded Circles' by Darkroom Door. The cupcake was stamped on a scrap of paper using grey ink. I colored the cupcake with Distress Ink Salvaged Patina, Wild Honey and Saltwater Taffy. After cutting out I adhered the stamped image to the card using 3D tape. For some extra shine I applied a layer of Glossy Accents to the topping on the cupcake.

The ribbon was colored with Saltwater Taffy Distress Ink as well.

I finished the card off with a wish from the 'Birthday Greetings' stamp set.

Gezocht in mijn voorraad naar een mooie gel print om mee te starten. Op de linkerkant van de gel print stempelde ik kleine cirkeltjes met de 'Abstract Stamp - Faded Circles' van Darkroom Door. De cupcake op een restje papier gestempeld met lichtgrijze inkt. De afdruk ingekleurd met Distress Inkt Salvaged Patina, Wild Honey en Saltwater Taffy. De cupcake uitgeknipt en op de kaart bevestigd met 3D tape. Voor wat extra glans kreeg de toef slagroom op de cupcake een laagje Glossy Accents. 

Het lint kleurde ik met Distress Inkt Saltwater Taffy. De kaart afgewerkt met een wens uit de 'Birthday Greetings' stempelset.

Art Journey Clocks #1

Er zijn alweer 2 nieuwe stempels uit bij Art Journey! Ik maakte dit kaartje met de stempels uit de nieuwe set 'Clocks'. 

There are two brand new stamp sheets available at Art Journey from today on! I made this card with stamps of the 'Clocks' set.

De ondergrond bestaat uit veel laagjes. In volgorde: gedessineerd papier, zwart stempelwerk, acrylverf, gesso, blauw stempelwerk,  cijfers.....

 To make the background I added many layers. I used patterned paper, acrylic paint, gesso, templates.....did some black and blue stamping too.

De klokken op een restje papier gestempeld en gekleurd met Dylusions Inkt. De oranje blaadjes zijn gestempeld met acrylverf en mijn vingertop.

I stamped the clocks on scraps of paper and colored them with Dylusions Ink. 

Uses my fingertip and acrylic paint to stamp the petals.

Een laagje Glossy Accents op de klokken aangebracht.

Put a layer of Glossy Accents on top of the clocks.

Katoenen tape in dunne reepjes geknipt voor de blaadjes.

Cut small strips of cotton tape for the leaves.

Voor dit kaartje drie verschillende Darkroom Door achtergrond stempels in zwart/wit afgedrukt. De tulpen gekleurd met Distress Inkt en een waterpenseel.

For this card I stamped three different Darkroom Door background stamps in black and white. Colored the tulips with Distress Ink and a water brush.

Kraaltjes op een Tim Holtz memo pin geregen.

Put some beads on a Tim Holtz memo pin.

Een stukje van de plaid stempelafruk in een 'Melissa Frances' frame geplakt en er een laagje Glossy Accents op aangebracht.

I glued a leftover of the plaid background in a Melissa Frances frame and put a layer of Glossy Accents on top.

Het recept van het Mango Fool dessertje haalde ik bij Photo-copy, hier. Deze blog is een aanrader voor wie van lekkere gerechtjes en mooie foto's houdt!

 Godelieve bracht mij op het idee van deze challenge. We wisselen wel eens een recept uit, daar hoort dan meestal een foto bij. Toen ze de foto van mijn mango dessert zag vond ze die heel geschikt voor een kleurenuitdaging. Daar zag ik wel iets in, vandaar :)

De eerste inzending voor mijn challenge is al binnen, Godelieve maakte reeds een kaart in Mango Fool kleuren, kijk!

I saw the recipe of the Mango Fool dessert on the Photo-copy blog, here. This blog is an absolute must for those who like good food and love beautiful photos. Godelieve suggested me to organize this challenge. From time to time we exchange recipes, usually accompanied with a picture. When she saw the picture of my Mango Fool dessert, she thought it would be great for a color challenge. Godelieve already made a card in Mango Fool colors, take a look over here for some inspiration.

Godelieve versus Anneke - 1

 Mijn stempelmaatje Godelieve en ik hebben elkaar uitgedaagd om kerstkaartjes te maken deze week. Voor deze uitdaging hebben we 5 kerststempels uitgezocht die we allebei bezitten. Vijf dagen lang zullen we elk een kaart maken met telkens één van deze stempels. Ik heb er geen idee van welke kaarten Godelieve gaat maken, ben heel benieuwd! Het zou wel heel leuk zijn als haar kaartjes heel verschillend zijn van de mijne.

 My friend Godelieve and I challenged one another to make some Christmas cards this week. For this challenge we selected 5 Christmas stamps we both own. Every day of the week we will both be using one of those stamps to make a card. I  haven't the slightest idea what kind of cards Godelieve is going to make, I'm anxious to see her cards! It would be nice if her cards are totally different from mine.

Vandaag beginnen we met een 'oudje' van Magenta. Ik kocht deze stempel al in 2003 maar vind het nog steeds een hele mooie!

Vergeet niet om straks ook een kijkje te nemen bij Godelieve voor haar versie  (hier).

Today we will both be using this 'oldie' by Magenta. I bought this stamp in 2003, but in my opinion it's still a beauty!

 De bomen zijn geëmbossed met zilver en de hokjes kleurde ik met Distress Inkt. De kerstwens is gestempeld op krimpfolie.

 I heat embossed the trees with Silver and colored the squares with Distress Ink. I stamped the sentiment on shrink plastic.

De vierkantjes en de randen zijn bewerkt met 'Glossy Accents'.

Put some 'Glossy Accents' on the squares and at the edges.

North Pole

Elke maandagmorgen geeft Rein een gratis plaatje weg. Deze Distress Inkt achtergrond is er eentje van. Afgedrukt op glanzend papier en het achtergrondje was klaar. De tijd die ik zo won, verloor ik weer aan het uitknippen van het rendier ;)

Every Monday morning, Rein shares a freebie with the readers of her blog. This Distress Ink background freebie is one of them. I just had to print it on glossy paper. I thought this would save me some time, but the cutting out of the reindeer was quite a job to me ;)
