Tissue Paper & Die Cuts #1

Het eerste kaartje van een nieuwe reeks: tissue papier in combinatie met 'die cuts'.

This is the first card from a new series: tissue paper in combination with die cuts.

Ik maakte een heleboel achtergronden met tissue papier. In het zwart/witte en chevron papier was ooit een online aankoop verpakt. Het lichtblauwe zat rond een mooi boeket. De rest maakte ik zelf door wit tissue papier te verven.

Ik plakte het met gel medium op stevig papier.

I made a bunch of backgrounds with tissue paper. The black and white and chevron paper came together with an online purchase. For my birthday I received flowers, the bouquet was wrapped in light blue tissue paper. For the other backgrounds I painted white tissue paper.

I glued the tissue paper on firm paper with gel medium.

Ik heb met die achtergronden 7 kaarten gemaakt, telkens gebruik makend van uitgeponsde 'dingetjes'. Ik heb een hele collectie ponsen, dies....die altijd in de kast blijven liggen. Tijd om daar verandering in te brengen. Ik maakte de witte spiraalbloemen met een Marianne Design Creatable. 

Het stoffen bloemetje vond ik aan kledinglabel.

With these backgrounds I made 7 cards, using die cuts. I have a big amount of punches, dies....that I never use. I had to change that! I made the white spiral flowers on this card with a Marianne Design Creatable. 

The fabric flower was part of a clothing label.

Paper Flowers #1

Het voorbije weekend een paar papieren bloemen gevouwen. Die moesten toch ergens opgeplakt worden :) Om te beginnen kwam er één op dit kaartje terecht. De achtergrond is gekleurd met Distress Inkt op een craftsheet.

Folded a few paper flowers over the weekend. Made this card with one of the flowers. The background is made of Distress Ink on a craftsheet. 

De bloem is gemaakt van "Cosmo Cricket" papier. Voor de blaadjes gebruikte ik de stempel "Hydrangea" van Hero Arts. De blaadjes zijn ingekleurd met Distress Inkt en een waterpenseel.

Made the flower out of "Cosmo Cricket" paper. I used the Hero Arts "Hydrangea" stamp for the leaves. Colored them with Distress Ink and a water brush.

Geïnspireerd door het mooie lenteweer heb ik deze vogelkaart gemaakt. Vertrokken van een blad "muziekpapier". Dit geverfd met acrylverf die ik verdunde met gel medium om de verf wat transparanter te maken. Hierop nog een laagje gesso gesmeerd.  

Inspired by the beautiful weather I made this bird card. I started with a sheet of music paper. I painted the paper with acrylic paint which I mixed with gel medium to make it more translucent. Put a layer of gesso on top of it.

Drie bijpassende lintjes, een bloem en een rood/wit koordje.

Three matching ribbons, a flower and a cord in red and white.

De vogel is uitgestanst uit een acrylverf achtergrondje en bestempeld met een tekststempel. Op het vogelhuisje stempelde ik met de Darkroom Door "Plaid Background" stempel.

I punched the bird out of an acrylic paint background and stamped on it with a text stamp. Stamped on the birdhouse with the Darkroom Door "Plaid Background" stamp.

Twee bloemen uitgestanst en op elkaar geplakt. Alle randjes bewerkt met Distress Inkt #Walnut Stain. 

I punched two flowers with a Tim Holtz Alterations die. Distressed all the edges with Distress Ink #Walnut Stain.
