Small Stencil - Semicircles

 

On this card I used another new stencil set by Darkroom Door. 

I sponged both the flower and leaves using the 'Small Stencil - Semicircles' set. To create the orange centre of the flower I used the 'Small Stencil - Three Circles'.

Voor deze kaart met een andere nieuwe stencil set van Darkroom Door aan de slag gegaan. 

Zowel de bloem als de blaadjes gesponsd met behulp van de 'Small Stencil - Semicircles' set. Voor het oranje hart van de bloem gebuikte ik de 'Small Stencil - Three Circles' set.

For the flower design I was inspired by a piece of fabric from my stash. 

Voor de bloem liet ik me inspireren door een stofje uit mijn voorraad.

Today Darkroom Door released a bunch of new stencil sets that include the stencil as well as the matching mask(s) so you can use the positive or negative shape for your project.

I was already able to play with some of the sets to make a few samples.

On today's tag I used the 'Three Circles Set'.

Vandaag bracht Darkroom Door een hele collectie stencil sets uit waar telkens naast de stencil ook de bijhorende 'mask(s)' in zitten. 

Ik kon al aan de slag met enkele van de sets voor het maken van voorbeelden.

Voor het label van vandaag gebruikte ik de 'Three Circles Set'.

I started by applying pink paint through the middle circle of the stencil to create the pink circle in the centre of the tag. I repeated this step with more pink, orange, red and lime paint until the tag was fully covered with circles. I applied turquoise paint through the smallest circle of the stencil to add an extra circle on top of each lime circle.

Next I covered up all the circles with masks and stamped with the 'Abstract Stamp - Faded Dots' on top using Archival Ink 'Pink Peony'. 

The black stamping was done using Archival Ink 'Jet Black'.

To finish the tag off I outlined each circle with a white POSCA pen, made splatters with diluted white paint, adhered white ribbon and a tag topper.

Begonnen met de roze cirkel in het midden. Daarvoor bracht ik roze verf aan doorheen de middelste cirkel van de stencil. Deze stap herhaald met meer roze, oranje, rode en lichtgroene verf tot het ganse label bedekt was met cirkels. Turquoise verf aangebracht doorheen de kleinste cirkel van de stencil en zo een extra cirkel aangebracht bovenop elke lichtgroene cirkel.

Vervolgens alle cirkels bedekt met maskertjes en gestempeld met de 'Abstract Stamp - Faded Dots' en Archival Inkt 'Pink Peony'. 

Het zwarte stempelwerk deed ik met Archival Inkt 'Jet Black'.

Elke cirkel omlijnd met een witte POSCA pen, spetters aangebracht met verdunde witte verf, roosjeslint opgeplakt en een 'tag topper' gemaakt met mijn zelf gekleurde lintjes.

Anemone #1

 

On today's tags I used the new Anemone stamp by Different Colors.

Twee labels gemaakt met de nieuwe Anemoon stempel van Different Colors in de hoofdrol.

I started by stamping the branches on the background. Judith by Different Colors posted a video online on how to stamp with watercolor paint. Of course I had to try this out :)

I colored the leaves with watercolor paint as well.

Begonnen met het stempelen van de takken op de achtergrond. Judith van Different Colors zette een filmpje online waarin ze toont hoe ze stempelt met aquarelverf. Dat moest uitgeprobeerd worden natuurlijk :) Na het stempelen de blaadjes ingekleurd met aquarelverf.

I stamped the Anemone on a scrap of watercolor paper with Versamark Ink and I heat embossed the print using white embossing powder.

The flower was colored with watercolor paint as well.

De anemoon gestempeld op een restje aquarelpapier met Versamark inkt en bewerkt met wit embossingpoeder.

De bloem ook ingekleurd met aquarelverf.

To finish the tags off I stamped wishes using Archival Ink 'Jet Black'.

Onderaan de labels wensen gestempeld met Archival Inkt 'Jet Black'.

Sympathy Cards #19

 

For the backgrounds of today's Sympathy Cards I again worked with gel prints I made during the "BrigitKoopsenGelPrintingChallenge" on Instagram.

I used 2 different Abstract Stamps by Darkroom Door to stamp the borders to the left side of the cards.

Voor de achtergronden van de sterkte kaartjes van vandaag werkte ik opnieuw met gel prints die ik maakte tijdens de "BrigitKoopsenGelPrintingChallenge" op Instagram.

Om de randen aan de linkerkant van de kaarten te stempelen gebruikte ik twee verschillende 'Abstract Stamps' van Darkroom Door. 

After stamping the flowers and text I looked for matching buttons in my stash.

Na het stempelen van de bloemen en de tekst zocht ik naar bijpassende knoopjes in mijn voorraad.

To finish the cards off I wrapped two strings of waxed thread around the cards.

Om af te werken twee verschillende kleuren wax koord rond de kaarten geknoopt.

On today's card I used stamps by Different Colors.

I started by stamping the dotted circles with StazOn Ink 'Dove Gray'. The text was stamped with Archival Ink 'Jet Black'. I stamped the flower on watercolor paper and used watercolor paint to color the flower.

I finished the card off by making splatters using the same watercolor paint.

Voor dit kaartje werkte ik met stempels van Different Colors.

Eerst de cirkels met stippen gestempeld met StazOn 'Dove Gray'. De tekststempel deed ik met Archival Inkt 'Jet Black'. De bloem gestempeld op aquarelpapier en ingekleurd met aquarelverf.

Tenslotte ook nog spetters gemaakt met dezelfde aquarelverf.
