Art Journey Challenge #3 - Romance

Dit kaartje maakte ik voor de 

Art Journey Challenge van deze maand, het thema is 'Romantiek'.

Mijn meest 'romantische' stempels, bloemen en kleuren uitgezocht voor deze kaart..

This is my entry for the Art Journey Challenge of this month, the theme is 'Romance'.

I picked out my most romantic stamps, colors and flowers to make this card.. 

De tekst met clear geëmbossed, daarna de ondergrond gekleurd met Distress Inkt #Victorian Velvet.

I heat embossed the text with clear, then colored the surface with Distress Ink #Victorian Velvet.

Het meisje is met StazOn #Timber Brown gestempeld op aquarelpapier en ingekleurd met Distress Inkt.

I stamped the girl with StazOn #Timber Brown on watercolor paper and colored her with Distress Ink.

De bloemenstempel met witte acrylverf afgedrukt. Daarna de bloemen gekleurd met Distress Inkt. De tekst is op krimpfolie gestempeld.

De ecoline/zout achtergrond komt uit mijn voorraad.

I first stamped the flowerstamp with acrylic paint and then colored the flowers with Distress Ink. I stamped the text on shrink plastic. 

I used an ecoline/salt background which I made earlier.

Mezelf onlangs een nieuwe voorraad lintjes aangeschaft :)

I bought these ribbons lately, to fill up my supplies :)

Ik kocht de lintjes in deze mooie winkel.

Zo'n bruine papieren zakjes bewaar ik om te gebruiken voor kaartjes of zelfs voor boekjes.

Brown paper bags like this are very useful for cardmaking, even for book covers.

Tealights for Christmas

Theelichtjes bestempeld en bijpassende doosjes gemaakt.

Voor het bestempelen van de theelichtjes volgde ik de werkbeschrijving van Godelieve hier.

Voor de doosjes gebruikte ik het patroon voor de Scor-Pal van de Art Specially site hier. Voor wie geen Scor-Pal bezit maakte Dymphie een patroon voor dit doosje hier. Ze toonde al meer van deze doosjes op haar blog Papieren Avonturen.

I stamped on some tealights, learned this technique from Godelieve here.

For the boxes I used a Scor-Pal template here. For those who don't own a Scor-Pal, Dymphie made a template for a tealight box like this here. On her blog Papieren Avonturen she shows more of her beautiful thealight boxes.

Nog maar eens een kerstkaartje. Als het zo verder gaat ziet het er naar uit dat mijn kerstkaarten tijdig af zullen raken dit jaar :) 

Once again a Christmas card to show you. If I continue making Christmas cards like this, it seems it won't be a last minute job this year :)

Nog een alcohol inkt achtergrond gebruikt voor deze kaart. 

De bomen zijn met Distress Inkt #Black Soot gestempeld op restjes van het lichtgroene Basic Grey papier.

Ik had eerst kerstbomen geëmbossed alvorens te kleuren met alcohol inkt, maar het resultaat daarvan was niet toonbaar en zit nu veilig verstopt achter de papieren bomen.

Used another alcohol ink background for this card.

I stamped the trees with Distress Ink # Black Soot on left-overs of the green Basic Grey paper. They hide embossed trees that are underneath and didn't turn out well.

Het hartje is een kadootje van Dymphie.

The heart is a gift from Dymphie.

In de kleine frames zitten restjes van een mislukte alcohol inkt achtergrond.

 Put some scraps of alcohol ink backgrounds in the frames.

Een oplossing voor een veel te grote tekststempel, afdrukken op krimpfolie en kleuren met Glimmermist.

I stamped the Dutch words on shrink plastic, then colored it with Glimmermist.
