These are my final Christmas cards of the year.

Hier de laatste kerstkaarten van dit jaar. 

To add texture to the background I used two different embossing folders by Tim Holtz.

Voor de textuur op de achtergrond werkte ik met twee verschillende embossing mallen van Tim Holtz.

I cut the flowers, the leaves and branches with a Sizzix Thinlits die set by Tim Holtz.

Om de bloemen, de blaadjes en takjes uit te snijden gebruikte ik een Sizzix Thinlits set van Tim Holtz.

Assembling all the bits and pieces together and attaching everything to the cards was quite a job.

Alle deeltjes bij mekaar puzzelen en opkleven was wel een priegelwerkje.

With some leftover homemade bookcloth from this project, I made the tree on this kraft card. To cut the tree I used a die by Tim Holtz. I distressed the edges of the tree with Distress Ink 'Saltwater Taffy'. I embellished the tree with a die cut star and a bow tied from hemp cord.

Met een restje zelfgemaakt boekbindlinnen - afkomstig van dit project - maakte ik de boom op dit kraft kaartje. Om de boom te snijden gebruikte ik een stans van Tim Holtz. De randen bewerkt met Distress Inkt 'Saltwater Taffy' en de boom verder versierd met een gouden ster en een strik geknoopt van jute touw.

To create this set of cards I used up a lot of scraps of patterned paper.

Voor deze set kaartjes veel restjes gedessineerd papier opgebruikt.

On each card I made red stitches with my sewing machine.

Met de naaimachine rond elk kaartje een rand gestikt.

With pain in the heart I used up the last bit of this beautiful paper.

Van dit mooie papier gebruikte ik jammer genoeg het laatste restje.

 I distressed the edges of the wooden trees with Distress Ink in matching colors.

 De randen van de houten boompjes kregen een laagje bijpassende Distress Inkt.

Some of the trees were decorated with Enamel Accents, others with mini pompons.

 

Ik versierde er een aantal met 'Enamel Accents' en een aantal met mini pompons.

I have two quick and easy Christmas cards to share today. I used paper from a paper pad by Mintay Papers.

Twee hele simpele kaartjes vandaag. Ik gebruikte papier uit een papierblokje van Mintay Papers. 

The beautiful paper didn't need much extra. I only added a wooden Christmas tree and stamped a wish on top of the patterned paper. 

Het mooie papier had niet veel meer nodig. Ik kleefde er een houten boompje op uit mijn voorraad en stempelde er een kerstwens op.

I had the intention to only use stuff from my stash, to make this year's Christmas cards.

For this set of cards I worked with a paper pad by Carta Bella.

Ik nam me voor om hoofdzakelijk materiaal te gebruiken uit mijn voorraad, voor de kerstkaarten van dit jaar. Voor de 3 kaartjes van vandaag werkte ik met een papierblokje van Carta Bella dat ik nog had liggen.

With an old embossing folder I added texture to the patterned paper on the background. I cut some simple trees out of matching paper.

Met een oude embossingmal structuur aangebracht op het gedessineerde papier van de achtergrond. Eenvoudige bomen gesneden uit een bijpassend bloemenmotief. 

For the Holiday Wish I used a stamp by Darkroom Door.

Voor de kerstwens gebruikte ik een stempel van Darkroom Door.

I made these cards using the new Tim Holtz Thinlits die set 'Holiday Blocks'.

The perfect way to use up some of my endless pile of paper scraps.

Deze kaartjes maakte ik met de nieuwe Tim Holtz Thinlits stans set 'Holiday Blocks'.

Ideaal om allerlei restjes papier op te maken.

To add some interest I distressed the edges of the trees and houses with Distress Ink and used 3D tape to adhere the houses and one of the trees.

I finished the cards off with buttons, hemp cord and a stamped wish.

De randen van de bomen en huisjes bewerkt met Distress Inkt. Voor wat meer diepte de huisjes en één van de bomen verhoogd opgeplakt. De kaarten afgewerkt met knopen, een jute touwtje en een gestempelde wens.

After making these cards there were more than enough vintage Christmas images left to make another 3 tags.

Na het maken van deze kaarten had ik nog veel vintage kerstafbeeldingen over. Meer dan genoeg om nog 3 labels te maken.

To cut the large tags I used a Tim Holtz die. I have this die for ages and I'm using it a lot. I've cut the tags out of Mixed Media paper. The vintage images were collaged onto the tags using 'Distress Collage Medium'. I randomly added scraps of Christmas paper as well. On each tag I adhered a recycled post stamp.

Om de grote labels te snijden heb ik een mal van Tim Holtz gebruikt, die gaat al eeuwen mee en wordt heel vaak gebruikt. Ik sneed de labels uit Mixed Media papier. De afbeeldingen op de labels gekleefd met 'Distress Collage Medium'. Hier en daar ook een restje kerstpapier opgeplakt en elk label kreeg ook een gerecycleerde postzegel.

I added some red accents with a Distress Crayon and machine stitched around the edges of the tags.

Rode accenten aangebracht met een Distress Crayon. Op de randen van de labels gestikt met de naaimachine.

I finished the tags off using velvet ribbon, enamel dots and a stamped wish.

De labels verder afgewerkt met fluwelen lint, plakparels en een gestempelde wens.

I have two quick and easy Christmas cards to share today.

Twee eenvoudige kerstkaartjes vandaag.

For the background I applied two colors of Distress Ink on a craft sheet, sprayed water on top and put a watercolor panel into that puddle. After drying I applied light blue paint through the Tim Holtz Layering Stencil 'Pinecones'.

I bought the deer ready made and pimped each one with a red pompon and a scarf made from gold thread.

Voor deze achtergrond twee kleuren Distress inkt op een craftsheet gesmeerd, daar water over verneveld en een stuk aquarelpapier in die plas gelegd. Na droging blauwe acrylverf aangebracht doorheen de Tim Holtz Layering Stencil 'Pinecones'. De herten kocht ik kant en klaar bij Hema, toen glitter nog niet verboden was :) Elk hert gepimpt met een rode pompon en een sjaaltje van gouddraad.

For this card I started with a white background and worked with the same blue paint an a Studio Light mask 'Triangle Gungle'. The triangles do look like Christmas trees don't they :)

Hier begonnen met een witte achtergrond en gewerkt met dezelfde blauwe verf en de Studio Light Mask 'Triangle Grunge'. De driehoekjes kunnen doorgaan voor kerstboompjes toch :)

To make this tag I started by collaging Tim Holtz 'Collage Paper' to the background of the tag. The dear is from an 'Ephemera Pack Christmas' and the branch is from the 'Christmas Botanicals'. After glueing both images down the tag was almost ready :)

Voor dit label ben ik begonnen met het opkleven van Tim Holtz 'Collage Paper'. 

Ik viste een hert uit een 'Ephemera Pack Christmas' en koos een takje uit de 'Christmas Botanicals'. Toen was het label al bijna klaar :)

At the bottom of the tag I adhered a strip of 'Christmas Fringe'. I added a strip of red paper, a stamped wish and a button on top. As a tag topper I used a piece of velvet ribbon.

Onderaan een strookje 'Christmas Fringe' opgeplakt. Erboven bevestigde ik een restje rood papier, een gestempelde wens en een knoopje. Tenslotte knoopte ik nog eens stukje fluwelen lint aan het label.

Today I'm sharing 2 cards in traditional Christmas colors.

Vandaag toon ik 2 kaartjes in traditionele kerstkleuren.

I stamped the trees in the background using Distress Ink 'Mowed Lawn'. For the red accents I used Distress Ink 'Festive Berries'. At the bottom of the card I attached a white panel. I decorated the ruffled edge of the panel with white ribbon. The car was stamped with black ink, colored with Distress Ink and attached to the card using 3D tape.

De bomen op de achtergrond gestempeld met Distress Inkt 'Mowed Lawn'. De rode accenten stempelde ik met Distress Inkt 'Festive Berries'. Onderaan de kaart een wit paneeltje opgekleefd waarvan de gegolfde rand versierd werd met een stukje wit lint. De auto gestempeld met zwarte inkt, ingekleurd met Distress Inkt en verhoogd opgeplakt.

For this set of Christmas tags I started by stamping and heat embossing pine cones to plain white tags. 

Voor het maken van deze kerstlabels ben ik begonnen met het stempelen en embossen van dennenappels, wit op wit.

On each tag I glued a wooden tree. For the stem I used a scrap of kraft cardstock on which I appied a thin layer of gesso.

Op elk label een houten boompje geplakt. Voor de stam een stukje kraft kaartkarton gebruikt waarop ik een dun laagje gesso smeerde.

Hier een foto waarop je de witte embossing goed kan zien. 

I embellished the bottom of the tags with a strip of 'Christmas Fringe'. I finished the tags off with a stamped wish, red pompons, a recycled post stamp, red and white elements from a 'Confections - Candy Canes' pack and a 'Quote Chip'.

Onderaan de labels versierd met een strookje 'Christmas Fringe'. De labels verder afgewerkt met een gestempelde wens, rode pompons, een gerecycleerde postzegel, rood/witte elementen uit een ' Confections - Candy Canes' pakje en een 'Quote Chip'.

I'm sharing another set of Christmas tags today. I went for a vintage look this time.

Although vintage is not my style I really enjoyed making these tags. And as a bonus I was able to use up some of my Christmas stash!

Vandaag toon ik een reeks vintage kerstlabels. Alhoewel vintage niet echt mijn stijl is vond ik het toch heel leuk om deze labels te maken. En ik kon een deel van mijn grote kerstvoorraad opgebruiken, mooi meegenomen!

  

I started by adding a textured pattern to the tags. Therefore I applied Distress Grit Paste 'Snowfall' through various Tim Holtz Layering stencils. After drying I distressed the edges of the tags by sponging a layer of Distress Ink 'Vintage Photo'. 

Ik begon met het aanbrengen van een laagje structuur op de labels. Daarvoor bracht ik Distress Grit Paste 'Snowfall' aan doorheen verschillende stencils. Na het drogen de labels 'oud' gemaakt door de randen te bewerken met Distress Inkt 'Vintage Photo'.

I adhered strips of white gauze and a piece of hemp cord to the bottom of each tag and glued a label on top.

Stroken wit gaas en jute touw bevestigd op de onderkant van elk label. Daar een label overheen gekleefd.

The trees, deer and pine branch are from a Tim Holtz Idea-olgy 'Christmas Botanicals' pack. I combined these with 'Paper Dolls' images.

De bomen, het hert en de dennentak komen uit een Tim Holtz Idea-ology ' Chrismas Botanicals Pack'. Deze gecombineerd met 'Paper Dolls' afbeeldingen.

I finished the tags off with some golden stars, a button and a tag topper.

For the Christmas wish I again used a stamp by Darkroom Door.

De labels afgewerkt met gouden sterren, een knoop en lint.

Voor de wens opnieuw een stempel van Darkroom Door gebruikt.
