Handwritten Ledgers #2

 

I made this card for Darkroom Door featuring the new Handwritten Ledgers stamp. 

This time I used white paint to do the stamping. Love how the white print turned out on the kraft paper. 

With a blending tool I sponged a thin layer of white paint to the edges of the card.

Hier werkte ik opnieuw met de nieuwe Handwritten Ledgers stempel van Darkroom Door. Deze keer drukte ik de stempel af met witte verf op kraft papier. Een heel leuk effect vind ik. Met een 'blending tool' bracht ik nog een dun laagje witte verf aan op de randen van de kaart.

The flower stamp I used is new to the Darkroom Door stamp collection as well and yet a favorite of mine!

I made 2 prints on red/white patterned paper, cut the flowers out, attached them to the card and drew stems with a black fineliner. I adhered a small button to each flower centre. 

De bloemenstempel is ook nieuw in het Darkroom Door assortiment en nu al een favoriet van me!

Ik drukte de bloem twee keer af op rood/wit gedessineerd papier. Uitgeknipt, opgeplakt en een steel getekend met een dunne zwarte pen. In het midden van elke bloem kleefde ik een knoopje. 

I wrapped a torn strip of white linen around the card. To finish the card off I made a print using one of the label stamps from the 'Lots of Labels' set and stamped a wish inside of the label. 

Een reepje wit linnen gescheurd en rond de kaart geknoopt.  Om de kaart af te werken een label uit de 'Lots of Labels' set afgedrukt en daar een wens in gestempeld.

I made a card with the beautiful Open Circles - Background Stamp by Darkroom Door as well.

Ik maakte ook nog een kaartje met de hele mooie Open Circles - Background Stamp van Darkroom Door.

I inked up the background stamp with Versamark ink, made a print on watercolor paper, sprinkled white embossingpowder on top of the wet print and heat set.

De achtergrondstempel beïnkt met Versamark inkt, een afdruk gemaakt op aquarelpapier, wit embossing poeder over de natte print gestrooid en alles verhit met de heat gun. 

I colored the circles with blue watercolor paint.

De cirkels ingekleurd met blauwe aquarelverf.

I stamped a flower from the Carved Flowers set twice on watercolor paper using watercolor paint. 

I used the matching flower from the Fine Flowers Vol 1 set to overstamp the prints with black ink. Applied the same technique on the leaves. I finished the card off by adding a birthday wish.

Een bloem uit de Carved Flowers set stempelde ik twee keer op aquarelpapier met aquarelverf. Met de bijpassende bloemenstempel uit de Fine Flowers Vol 1 set overstempelde ik de afdrukken met zwarte inkt.  Voor de blaadjes hetzelfde proces gevolgd. De kaart afgewerkt met een verjaardagswens.

Today I'm sharing a notebook I made using the new Open Circles - Background Stamp by Darkroom Door.

Vandaag toon ik een notaboekje dat ik maakte met de nieuwe Open Circles - Background Stamp van Darkroom Door.

I started by cutting a strip of watercolor paper (30 x 15,5 cm). I made a fold in the middle of the strip and 2 opposite folds on both sides at 1,5 cm distance from the middle. Those 3 folds together make a letter W. 

Ik begon met het snijden van een strook aquarelpapier van 30 op 15,5 cm. Een vouw gemaakt in het midden en aan beide kanten op 1,5 cm afstand nog eens een vouw gemaakt in tegengestelde richting zodat er een letter W ontstond.

I stamped the Open Circles Background Stamp to the front and the back of the book. 

De Open Circles-Background Stamp 2 keer afgedrukt. 

I colored each circle with watercolor paint. 

I highlighted a few of the circles with a white pen. 

De cirkels één voor één ingekleurd met aquarelverf. Een aantal van de cirkels geaccentueerd door er krabbels in te maken met een witte pen. 

I folded and attached a strip of pink scrapbook paper around the W fold at the spine to reinforce the spine and to further embellish the book.

Een strook roze scrapbook papier gevouwen en bevesigd aan de rug, deels ter versteviging maar ook om het boek verder te versieren. 

I folded 2 signatures out of colored copy paper and nested those signatures into the 2 folds/valleys at the spine. I made 3 holes into both folds at the spine and into both signatures and used a '3-hole pamphlet stitch' to attach the signatures to the cover.

Twee katernen gevouwen van gekleurd papier en deze katernen in de 2 vouwen gelegd ter hoogte van de rug van het boekje. Drie gaatjes gemaakt in de 2 vouwen en ook in de katernen en alles met een simpele '3-hole pamphlet stitch' vastgenaaid aan de kaft. 

The inside covers and spine were decorated with pink scrapbook paper as well. Of course I did that before I started attaching the signatures.

De binnenkant van de kaft en de rug binnenin werden ook bekleed met roze scrapbook papier. Dit deed ik uiteraard voor het vastnaaien van de katernen.

As a closure I wrapped pink elastic cord around the book and embellished the cord with ribbon, a pompon and a metal charm.

Als sluiting een stuk roze elastiek rond het boekje geknoopt. Het elastiek versierd met stukjes lint, een pompon en een metalen bedeltje.

Darkroom Door released a lot of new stamps recently. Within the next weeks I will share some projects I made with those new stamps. 

This one layer card features the new Handwritten Ledgers Background Stamp and the new Eclectic Stamp - Scribble Daisy.

Darkroom Door bracht recent een heleboel nieuwe stempels uit. In de komende weken ga ik een aantal projecten tonen die ik met deze stempels maakte. 

Voor deze 'éénlaags' kaart gebruikte ik de nieuwe Handwritten Ledgers Background Stamp en de mooie Eclectic Stamp - Scribble Daisy.

I started by stamping the flowers with Archival Ink 'Jet Black'. Next I colored the flowers and the background using watercolor paint. After masking off the flowers I overstamped the background with the Handwritten Ledgers Background Stamp using Distress Oxide Ink 'Mermaid Lagoon'. After carefully removing the masks my card was ready.

Ik begon met het stempelen van de bloemen met Archival Ink 'Jet Black'. De bloemen en de achtergrond ingekleurd met aquarelverf. Maskertjes op de bloemen gekleefd en daarna de achtergrond overstempeld met de Handwritten Ledgers achtergrondstempel. Daarvoor gebruikte ik Distress Oxide Ink 'Mermaid Lagoon'. Voorzichtig de maskertjes verwijderd en klaar was mijn kaart.

I made a set of cards using the cute bunnies from the Tim Holtz Thinlits 'Bunny Stitch' set.

I started by coloring watercolor paper with Distress Ink. I applied Distress Ink straight from the inkpads onto a craft sheet, sprayed water on top and put the paper into that puddle. After drying I randomly overstamped the colored backgrounds using Distress Oxide Ink.

Ik maakte een set kaartjes met de leuke konijnen uit de Tim Holtz Thinlits 'Bunny Stitch' set.

Om te beginnen aquarelpapier gekleurd met Distress Inkt. Distress Inkt op een craft sheet aangebracht, daar water over verneveld en het papier door de natte plas inkt gesleept. Na het drogen de achtergrond hier en daar bestempeld met Distress Oxide inkt.

At the bottom of each card I adhered tape and zigzag ribbon.

Onderaan elke kaart stroken tape en zigzag lint opgekleefd. 

I die cut the rabbits out of white and gray paper. For the carrots and cross-stitches I used leftover gel prints.

De konijnen uit wit en uit grijs papier geponst. Voor de kruisjes en de wortels gebruikte ik restjes van een gel print.
