Art Marks #16

I made some golden marks in my Pocket Journal .

On the background I added leftover washi tape, pink stenciling and stamping.

For the quote I used a JOFY stamp.

Gouden accentjes aangebracht in mijn Pocket Journal .

Verder zie je op de achtergrond restjes tape en een beetje roze stencil- en stempelwerk.

De quote stempelde ik met een JOFY stempel.

Distress Crayons

For the 31productschallenge on Instagram I've chosen to work with Distress Crayons today. I first painted a background using various colors of grey paint. I stamped on top of that background with pink paint. I added details to the edges using Distress Crayons. Distress Crayons work very well on acrylic paint. I often use them to add shadow to my work.

Voor de 31productschallenge op Intstagram koos ik vandaag Distress Crayons om mee te werken. 

Eerst een achtergrond geverfd in grijstinten. Daar overheen gestempeld met roze verf. De randen bewerkt met Distress Crayons. Distress Crayons werken heel goed op een acrylverf achtergrond, bijvoorbeeld om schaduw aan te brengen. 

I colored the flower with Distress Crayons as well.

Ook de bloem gekleurd met de Distress Crayons.

ZIG Brush Markers

For the 31productschallenge on Instagram I've chosen to work with my ZIG Clean Color Real Brush Markers today.

To create a watercolor look I inked up the stamp using the markers, sprayed water on top and did the stamping on watercolor paper.

Voor de 31productschallenge op Intstagram koos ik vandaag de ZIG Clean Color Real Brush markers uit om mee te werken. 

Om een watercolor look te verkrijgen 'beïnkte' ik de stempel met de stiften, vernevelde er water over en stempelde op aquarelpapier. 

I used a faux woodcut home made stamp.

Ik gebruikte een 'faux woodcut' stempel die ik zelf kerfde.

Alcohol Ink

Birgit Koopsen is hosting a new challenge on Instagram. It's called 31productschallenge. Birgit wants us to use a different product each day during the month October. I won't have time enough to take part each day although I have more than 31 products/mediums in my craft room I suppose :)

On this card I used alcohol ink.

Birgit Koopsen organiseert in oktober een 31productschallenge op Instagram. De uitdaging bestaat erin om elke dag een ander product te gebruiken. Ik ga geen tijd hebben om elke dag mee te doen alhoewel ik waarschijnlijk wel 31 producten/mediums kan vinden in mijn hobbyhok :)

Voor de kleurige strook op deze kaart gebruikte ik alcohol inkt.

I colored Yupo paper with pink and orange alcohol ink and used the Tim Holtz blending pen to add marks.

Yupo papier gekleurd met roze en oranje alcohol inkt. Met de Tim Holtz blending pen maakte ik een stippenpatroon.

I finished the card off by adding a bead and a strip of fabric. 

Afgewerkt met een platte kraal en een strookje stof.

As I mentioned before this Pocket Journal is always on my desk. I smear scraps of paint on the pages, adhere leftovers of washi tape, collage papers....

 Zoals ik eerder al vermeldde heb ik dit Pocket Journal altijd bij de hand om restjes verf in te smeren, restjes tape of tissue papier in op te plakken enz...

On the left page I only added a scrap of tissue paper, a die cut girl and a text.

I used my white pen to scribble into the pink dots.

Het stencilwerk zat al op de linkerpagina. Ik plakte alleen nog een strookje bestempeld tissue papier en een meisje op. Verder nog een quote gestempeld en details aangebracht met een witte pen.

 On this page I sponged leftover paint through a stencil on top of a washi tape background. I finished the page off by stamping a pink flower and making blue marks with a paint brush. The dotted washi tape is a leftover from this project.

Op deze pagina waren reeds brede stroken groen/blauwe tape resten gekleefd. Later werkte ik nog een restje witte verf op door te sponzen doorheen een stencil. Nu stempelde ik alleen nog een vage roze bloem bovenop, maakte blauwe vierkantjes met verf en plakte nog wat tape met stippen, over van deze kaart.
