Below my sample for the current challenge.

Ik maakte onderstaand kaartje als voorbeeld voor de uitdaging.

I created a Distress Ink background with Picked Raspberry, Ripe Persimmon, Worn Lipstick and Squeezed Lemonade. 

Een achtergrond gemaakt met Distress Inkt Picked Raspberry, Ripe Persimmon, Worn Lipstick en Squeezed Lemonade. 

Then took off blocks of the ink using a wet blending tool. Cut the sponge into small squares to do so. As the water removes the ink, a bleached out block effect was created. I reinforced the effect with a white pencil.

Een blending tool sponsje in vierkantjes geknipt, nat gemaakt en daarmee 'gestempeld'. Het water neemt de inkt weg en zo ontstaat het hokjespatroon. De vierkantjes nog wat bijgewerkt met een wit potlood.

I overstamped the background with a Hero Arts flower stamp and StazOn ink 'Fuchsia Pink'.

Alles overstempeld met een Hero Arts bloemenstempel en StazOn inkt 'Fuchsia Pink'.

Darkroom Door: Word Strips

Color Blocking

Bij dit kaartje eerst de kantstempel afgedrukt en geëmbossed met WOW embossingpoeder 'Opaque Bright White'. Daarna blokken afgeplakt met tape en ingekleurd met Distress Inkt. De kleine vierkantjes zijn gemaakt met een sjabloon.

On this card I first heat embossed the lace print with WOW embossing powder 'Opaque Bright White'. I masked some rectangles with tape and colored them with Distress Ink and a blending tool. Made the small squares with a template.

De vogel en het hart ingekleurd met Distress Inkt en een waterpenseel.

I colored the bird with Distress Ink and a waterbrush.

Birds on the Roof

Op dit kaartje Godelieve's 'Carved Birds' gecombineerd met de 'Carved Houses'.

On this card I combined the 'Carved Birds' and the 'Carved Houses' by Godelieve.

Voor de achtergrond gesso, verf en templates gebruikt.

De huisjes en vogels zijn gestempeld met Archival inkt 'Carnation Red' op glanzend papier.

Used gesso, paint and templates on the background.

Did the stamping of the houses and the birds with Archival ink 'Carnation Red' on glossy paper.

 Er start vandaag weer een nieuwe uitdaging bij Art Journey Design Team Blog. Deze keer was Jeanette aan de beurt om het thema te kiezen en ze koos iets heel leuks namelijk: 

'Ton sur Ton'

Voor dit kaartje 24 vierkantjes gesneden uit restjes geverfd papier.

For this card I punched 24 squares out of painted paper scraps.

Alles opgeplakt en daar een achtergrondstempel overheen gezet met StazOn inkt 'Teal Bleu'.

After glueing the squares in place I overstamped the background with StazOn ink 'Teal Blue'.

De bloem gestempeld op aquarelpapier met Distress Inkt. De kaart afgewerkt met een paar dunne reepjes papier en enamel dots.

I stamped the flower on watercolor paper with Distress Ink. Used a few small paper strips and enamel dots to finish it off.
