Floral Faves #1

 

Currently I'm joining the online class 'Floral Faves' by Heather Telford. As the name suggests this course is all about flowers. As you already know I'm very fond of flowers. I'm making flower cards all the time so this class is made for me :)

Today I'm sharing the first card I did for Floral Faves.

Ik heb me aangemeld voor de online cursus 'Floral Faves' van Heather Telford. In deze cursus spelen bloemen de hoofdrol. Ik maak heel vaak kaarten met bloemen op dus deze lesjes zijn echt voor mij gemaakt :)

Hier al een eerste kaart die maakte voor Floral Faves.

I stamped the flowers using the Daisy Delight Background Stamp by Darkroom Door and heat embossed the print with white embossing powder. 

Voor de bloemen gebruikte ik de Daisy Delight achtergrondstempel van Darkroom Door. De afdruk bewerkt met een laagje wit embossing poeder.

Mother's Day #3

 

Today I'm sharing two more cards I made on the occasion of Mother's Day.

On the background I glued gel prints made on deli paper. 

Vandaag toon ik de laatste 2 kaartjes die ik maakte voor Moederdag.

Op de achtergrond plakte ik gel prints die ik maakte op 'deli paper'.

I overstamped the gel prints using Abstract Stamps by Darkroom Door and Archival Ink.

Op de gel prints gestempeld met Abstract stempels van Darkroom Door en Archival Inkt.

The stamping of this flower was done with ZIG markers.

Voor het stempelen van deze bloem gebruikte ik ZIG markers.

I wrinkled up the deli paper before glueing it down.

Voor het opkleven het 'deli paper' verkreukeld.

To stamp the tulip I used Ecoline Brush Markers.

Deze tulp stempelde ik met Ecoline Brush Markers.

To create these quick and easy Mother's Day cards I masked of a part of the card and colored the remaining part with Distress Oxide Ink.

Voor deze eenvoudige moederdag kaartjes een stuk van de kaart afgeplakt en de rest gekleurd met Distress Oxide Inkt.

Mother's Day #1

I made this tag on the occasion of Mother's Day.

Dit label gemaakt voor Moederdag.

On the background I've made a gel print using a stamp by Carabelle Studio.

I stamped the word 'mama' with Versamark ink and heat embossed it with fuchsia embossing powder.

Op de achtergrond maakte ik een gel print. Ik gebruikte daarvoor een stempel van Carabelle Studio.

Het woord 'mama' gestempeld met Versamark inkt en bewerkt met een laagje fuchsia embossing poeder.

The cupcake was colored with watercolor paint.

De cupcake ingekleurd met aquarelverf.

For a festive touch I applied some Glossy Accents to the strawberry.

De aardbei een laagje Glossy Accents gegeven om het wat feestelijker te maken.

Lupine #2

 

I again made a card with the 'Lupine' stamp by Different Colors. 

On the background I used a gel print. After making these prints there was some leftover paint on my gel printing plate. I applied a thin layer of white paint on top of the dried paint and pulled a new print. Love those soft gel prints.

At the left I stamped a border using parts of the 'Curly Background' stamp. 

Opnieuw een kaartje gemaakt met de 'Lupine' stempel van Different Colors. 

De achtergrond is een gel print. Na het maken van deze prints bleef nog wat verf over op mijn gel printing plate. Met behulp van een dun laagje witte verf een monoprint gemaakt met de restjes opgedroogde verf. Dergelijke subtiele prints zijn ideaal als achtergrond voor een kaart.

Links een gedeelte van de 'Curly Background' stempel afgedrukt.

I finished the card off using ribbon and black thread.

De kaart afgewerkt met 2 soorten lint en zwarte draad.

Longing for the cherry season to come :)

To create the background of this card I heat embossed the stamped flowers using WOW embossing powder 'Opaque Bright White'. I loosely colored the flowers and background with watercolor paint.

The cherries were colored with watercolor paint as well.

Ik kijk al uit naar de kersentijd, alvast weer een kaartje gemaakt met kersen op :)

De gestempelde bloemen op de achtergrond van dit kaartje kregen een laagje wit embossing poeder. Bloemen en achtergrond nonchalant gekleurd met aquarelverf.

De kersen ook met deze verf ingekleurd.
